We are absolutely thrilled to begin our showcase with a captivating film that will be complemented by a live performance incorporating various elements such as drums, percussion, sampling, and guitar. Certain sections of the performance, especially the catchy hook, are designed to have a deliberately rough and jagged quality. This creative choice is meant to resonate with the overarching post-apocalyptic theme we are presenting, reminiscent of an old and faded telephone recording that evokes a sense of nostalgia and desolation.

In addition to the film’s original soundtrack, we will be intricately integrating high-fidelity segments that serve to enhance and elevate the overall viewing and listening experience. Our performance is scheduled to take place in a beautifully quaint chapel, a setting where gentle light will stream through the intricately designed stained glass windows, thereby crafting a truly enchanting and ethereal atmosphere for everyone in attendance.

The conceptual foundation of our post-apocalyptic blues theme revolves around the figure of a bard who has managed to endure the cataclysmic end of the world and now roams through empty and desolate landscapes, sharing tales of survival and sorrow. This character has come to life through the inspiration gleaned from a deeply meaningful conversation with a beloved friend of mine, who I affectionately refer to as LitchWeaf.

I’d like to extend a heartfelt shout-out to the wonderfully creative Sera for joining me in what we fondly call “brainstorming”... isn't that a clever term? This collaborative effort, while resulting in a considerably larger workload than originally anticipated, is something I firmly believe will ultimately prove to be immensely rewarding and worth every moment we invest in it.
