Threads Radio - Brainwaves w/ Weith & Galactic Jackson (09.04.2020)

Back in 1993, I remember standing in Fatcat and John says to me you’ll like this one...  brand new on a French label.  He then proceeded to play Acid Eiffel in it’s entirety.  As a bonus, the Soofle Ep was out at the same time so bought both. What followed was a succession of absolutely essential deep house and acid releases.  At the helm was Laurent Garner, Ludovic Navarre and DJ Deep and Didier Delesalle releasing music on a huge Multimedia stores own dance division of their record label.  The label then changed into F Comm and still managed t release some more amazing music.  I thought I’d put this together as their appears to be some very welcome re-issues on their way.  

Unfortunately, I couldn’t locate some records I wanted to add and some were just too fast but you can get a feel for the kind of stuff i used to buy and the quality that the label was putting out.

Will do Tracklist at some point but mainly consisted of Choice, Shazz, Deepside, Laurent Garnier, Aurora Borealis, Alexkid, Deep Contest, Aqua Bassino, Nuages, Soofle, LN’s, Alaska and Dave Angel

All done in one hit.  There’s a few wobbles and wobbles due to lack of Sync button.  Hope it doesnt detract from the enjoyment of the music.

Wednesday’s Voyage de Lux radio show is now available for streaming from the @1btn clouds.
As ever - it’s a totally improvised and unrehearsed mix, just a few hours selecting records & familiarising myself with the tracks right before heading out to the studio. This show predominantly features a mix of  recently released, forthcoming, and brand new Electro / Broken-Tech styles: Some excellent releases on @cultivated-electronics, the @london-modular-alliance twelve being a highlight (also look out for the DMX Krew about to drop). A couple of cuts on a recently discovered & excellent label - @labmusicberlin from @slaklabmusic & @datafive (thx @charlesgreen for the tip). A beautiful remix from @‘deepa & Biri. A broken banger from the very strong release on @ufoseries, and a lovely slice of deepness by @danieli_whs on another new label discovery - @lowless-music. (thx James @jonnoandtommo). Yet another breathtaking track from Versalife @conforce, taken from his EP on @2020visionrecordings. All three tracks from the new @junq on @subapical (copies here https://www.discogs.com/seller/covert_operative/profile?q=SUBAPICAL05 ). An overlooked lesser spotted dark & melodic gem from @jamesruskin-blueprint. 2 brilliant cuts from some very strong releases on @wellstreet. 2 amazing tracks from the latest ‘Unseen Forces’ EP on @pi-gao-movement. Both sides of the amazing recent VC-118A @mohlao release on @delsinrecords. Finishing off with the title cut from @milesatmospheric’s stunning release release on @ornate-music (copies here: https://www.discogs.com/seller/covert_operative/profile?q=ORN028 )
