Another fun one with Scotland's outstanding guitarist and master chef Ian Tait.  Ian once again brings it home with his signature funky solo and rhythm playing that matches so well with my jazz fusion roots. Goin' Home - with Ian Tait / guitar

One might think that at midnight, Scotland's top chef and SC guitarist Ian Tait is done cooking.  But no - a note to me says lets do a late night jam.  So we gather the ingredients - keyboards, guitar, bass, drums and vibes - and get to work.  A little later we have some dessert to share with you - Smooth Move - a simply I-IV jam that modulates a few times. A brand new ambient ballad mix of the original 'Sink Into Oblivion'  featuring Ian Tait on the lead guitar. The song is originally intended to be a Chillout and meditative , but Ian's guitar work has added an unexpected rock ballad flavour to the song !!. I watched a Slash doc on tv and ian and i had been talkin about doing another collab... i suggested this one and he fuckin nailed it! Ol' karl Golden sure played a mean bass and drum on here!!!!!!!! it's the backbone for Ian and myself to do this SHIT, right?!?!?! woooo!!!!!!! 

I MIXED THIS!!!!!!!!! also, ..on a side note when i was 3rd grade i would Axl Rose impersionations for milk money cause we were poor as fuck and could do it! haha cheers fuckers!

I remember hearing this at 8 yrs old..i had the tape!!! i listened to this song on the debut album by Guns n' Roses...i would balst it from a bedroom in a cabin i lived in in the mountains for 2 weeks with a coke dealin' whore when i was a kid and this song would make it go away! i loooved them for it! still do! more than any other song i ever heard from them!

Ian contacted me about doing another collaboration.  As I have always liked Ian's music I immediately jumped on the opportunity to collaborate again.  I listened to his music (as I do when I collaborate with someone) and wrote the basics of this song.  Ian provided some great guitar parts and provided the feel of the Showdown at Dawn. Hey Folks...as you guys know my Strat was in getting a complete overhaul recently as it had been out of action for a wee while....She's been playing beautifully,sounding great too! :)
