Eric has inspired millions as composer, conductor, innovator, broadcaster and charismatic public speaker. His compositions rank among the most popular and frequently performed of the early 21st century, their reach broadened since 2010 by the extraordinary success of his online Virtual Choir project. Light & Gold, his first album as composer and conductor, won the 2012 Grammy® Award for Best Choral Recording and instantly topped the US and UK classical album charts.

Born in Nevada, he discovered a passion for choral music while studying at UNLV and he began composing soon after. He went on to study at the Juilliard School of Music in New York under John Corigliano. Many of his choral compositions, Cloudburst, Lux Aurumque and Sleep among them, have entered the standard choral repertoire and his orchestral music has been performed by some of the world’s most distinguished orchestras both sides of the Atlantic. Eric is currently Composer-in-Residence at Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge University, UK.

A distinguished speaker, Eric has been invited to address the UN Leaders Programme, give the closing plenary at Davos World Economic Forum and to speak for UNICEF and Google among others. He has appeared twice on the main stage at the global TED conference in Long Beach CA, earning standing ovations on both occasions. Recent Virtual Choir projects include ‘Glow’ written for the Winter Dreams holiday show at Disneyland© Adventure California and the Virtual Youth Choir, in association with UNICEF, which premiered at the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games. Broadcast live to 119 countries worldwide, Eric made his iTunes Festival debut with his professional choir in 2014, inviting multi award-winning composer and conductor Hans Zimmer to join him on stage. The performance was consequently released as a live album. Eric returned to the Minnesota Orchestra for a second residency in 2015 culminating in three performances at Orchestra Hall.


Zachary J. Moore (b. 1992) is an American composer and arranger, and recent graduate of the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire with a Bachelors degree in Music Education. Zach, who is a native resident of Wisconsin, attended Muskego High School and began composing in 2009 at the age of fifteen. Since then, he has had the opportunity to take master classes and guidance from some of the world’s leading choral composers including Eric Barnum, Dan Forrest, Ola Gjeilo, Ethan Wickman, Timothy Takach and Jake Runestad.

From 2013 to the present, Zach has received an increasing amount of commissions from both choral and instrumental ensembles all over the world. In 2014 the North Central American Choral Directors Association commissioned him for their project, “A Community That Sings.” More recently, he was commissioned by the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire Wind Ensemble to write his first ever instrumental work, In Memoriam, for their 2016 performance at the CBDNA North Central Regional Conference. In addition to his numerous domestic commissions, Zach has also received two international commissions as well, the most recent being for the Cheong Gong High School Male Choir, winners of the 2013 International Busan Choral Competition. Currently, Zach is serving as the 2014-2016 composer-in-residence to The Eau Claire Master Singers. The residency has been comprised of five new commissions, one being The Fall of Rome, commissioned for the Franklin D. Roosevelt 75th Anniversary Concert being held in Washington D.C., 2016.

Aside from commissions, Zach’s compositions have received prestigious performances at state conventions, including Music Educator Association Conventions (Nebraska -2014 and Florida – 2015), Florida American Choral Director’s Association Conference (2015), and the North Central Choral Director’s Association Regional Conference (2014). Internationally, Zach’s works have been performed in Africa, Europe, North America and Asia, with the most recent notable performance being by the Taipei Youth Choir (2015) at the Taipei National Concert Hall.    

Throughout Zach’s career as a composer, he has received distinguished awards for his compositions. In 2010 his first composition received third place in the Wisconsin Student Music Association’s Student Composition Project. More recently, in 2014, he submitted an entry to the renowned American Prize national competition, earning third place as well.

Brazos Starr has composed for ensembles ranging from solo and chamber to band and choir, including a solo tenor multimedia work Blue-Butterfly Day. His solo cello work, They Came as the Collage, was recorded by Voices of Change in 2020. Starr is currently studying composition at Stephen F. Austin State University under Dr. Stephen Lias. Starr's former instructors include Robert J Coe (SFASU) and Dr. Chad Robinson (private lessons). Starr has also worked for Dr. Robinson's non-profit Texas New Music Ensemble. With an A.A. in Vocal Performance, Starr enjoys performing and for many years had been singing in the Stone Fort Chorale. In recent years his voice professor Dr Moody has a community choir that he has been considering rejoining in 2025.

Starr has since graduated from SFA and has been composing a suite on his own while also beginning to practice multiple piano pieces to continue pushing with music in his life. A masters program in composition is still his goal but currently the projects seem to be on hold. 

He has been moving into solo piano work and writing for the fun of it. Some say that composition isn’t cool anymore, that it is stuck in the past but he has argued that is a lie, it is worth it if you love it. The orchestral field still dominates not only film but also the gaming world. 

Regardless of how the future pans out, if you’re breathing, you should be spending time on what you love and most importantly, who you love.

Brazos has been known by his nickname for a long time “Atlas” although in recent years this name has fallen by the wayside it is still a prominent figure in his life. The website that hosts his music still features the name in the title.

After having an extensive vocal rep that includes many German, Italian, a few French and English rep in both classical and jazz styles, the hardest pieces to perform is most certainly “Gretchenn Am Spinnrade” by the wonderful Franz Schubert. 

The music of Takashi Yoshimatsu has been a huge inspiring factor in his life, the tender toys album volumes 1-3 has exceptionally stood out as a part of his drive post university life. To this day he still listens to and has been practicing Yoshimatsu’s Pleiades dances albums.

None of this was ever to be possible without Gods influence.

Marcus Karl Maroney studied composition and horn at The University of Texas at Austin and Yale School of Music. His principle composition teachers were Joseph Schwantner, Ned Rorem and Joan Tower. In 1999, he received a fellowship to the Tanglewood Music Center, the First Hearing award from the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and an ASCAP/Morton Gould Young Composer’s award. Other awards and fellowships followed, including: a Charles Ives Scholarship from The American Academy of Arts and Letters, a residency at the Copland House and consecutive Woods Chandler Memorial awards from Yale University.

Commissions have come from such organizations and individuals as eighth blackbird , the Orchestra of St. Luke’s, The Norfolk Chamber Music Festival, Timothy McAllister, the Moores School Percussion Ensemble, the Texas Music Festival, the Deer Valley Music Festival and the Juventas! New Music Ensemble. Three Pieces for Sting Orchestra was recently premiered by the Utah Symphony, and he was recently named the winner of the inaugural College Orchestra Directors Association Composition Contest. 

Mr. Maroney served on the faculty of the Yale School of Music from 2002-2004. He is currently Assistant Professor of Music at the University of Houston’s Moores School of Music and on the Artistic Board of Musiqa, a composer-led contemporary music group based in Houston.
