Imagine our luck! This week 2012 Breakspoll-winner, Colombo (aka Alejandro Rojo) is a surprise special guest in The Armory! His latest mixset was just dropped into our inbox by our friends at iBreaks so naturally we'll be doubling up on the podcast this week: breaks at the front end with Colombo and some disco house at the back courtesy of San Francisco's Ma Yeah. A native of Malaga and formerly one half of BSD (BASS STAR DOS), Colombo wrote his first dance track in 1999 at the tender age of 17. Following stints with Reflex Musik, Starsing Records and Dubplate Records (2003 through 2007), the young Spanish producer joined forces with iBreaks in 2009 and quickly established himself as the label's brightest star.

To celebrate 10 years of Break Wind Productions here is a beautiful free track from Rick Tedseco - Lola's Rose.
This track essentially had no intention and no direction. Honestly, I was just messing around in the studio with some new software and hours later, a soon to be track had taken shape. This track you are listening to was done over the course of roughly two weeks and the day I finished it; the only thing that came to mind was my daughter, Lola. Perhaps this was due to her upcoming 13th birthday, or the years on end she had dealt with my speakers penetrating the walls? I decided to title this track “Lola’s Rose”, which is my daughter’s name (Lola Rose Tedesco) and it just so happens when I reached out to my good friend, Boba, he had mentioned the label was approaching a 10 year anniversary and I was excited for him, the label and the artists and DJs that have supported and promoted the label’s work over this period of time! I was excited for Boba, and I was excited about this track, and we mutually decided to offer this track as a free download to represent our appreciation to all of those who have supported us, as well as the artist, labels, DJs out there creating; regardless of style, genre, etc… So, please enjoy this free download and we say THANK YOU!

10 years ago, to this day the 22nd October I released my first ever solo original track Titans featuring the astounding breath-taking vocals of Jay Furze.
I remember being nervous as I had always made music prior to this with other people going back & fourth.
It was released in a time of my life when I was in a dark place and this track become my Rocky Balboa running up the steps moment.
Still very proud of this track and to celebrate 10 years since released on planet earth you can have it free to download.
I also did a bass heavy moody cinematic dubby downtempo version which was released under my other alias Zerkxes, this is also free to download.

Adam Huszár is a hungarian producer and dj. He was born in 1983 in Hatvan, Hungary. He had been attracted to music from his childhood. At his age of 14 first started to tune up ambient and electro (Anthony Rother and Datapunk releases had an effect on his music) on his first computer. Pioneer artists like Hybrid, BT, Crystal Method inspired his work and after few years he turned to progressive breaks and house. He affectionately uses atmospheric elements and lot of melodies in his productions. Adam gets involved more and more music genre and nowdays he produces on a very wide spectrum of music under different aliases and collaborations.

After upgrading to Ableton 10 I needed a starting project to get my head around it.
I started this as just a bit of fun to get used to Ableton 10 and things started to move along quite nice so I pursued onwards with it, I love the music from The Mandalorian so much, they took many risks with this and it paid off big time.
The composer Ludwig Göransson did such an incredible job to make something so original and so refreshing but still fits perfect in the Star Wars universe, it’s a masterpiece.
The tempo of the original theme is more in time with Drum & Bass, it actually started as a Drum & Bass remix of the theme but my first love is Breaks so I slowed things down to the bpm I love the most, re-wrote some of the melodies I wanted to use and added some Bobalino flavour.
While I was writing I kept hearing Mjölk’s voice in my head, so got in touch and as always, she delivered some beautiful haunting vocals to complement the vocals I had already include from the series.
I hope you enjoy; it was a bit of fun to play around with the things I love the most, Star Wars & Breakbeats.
Massive thanks to Mjölk for these beautiful vocals (new original stuff coming in 2021 from us) and a huge thanks to Rick Tedesco for sorting out the master and being patient with me to get it right.
