For fans of his crisp takes on world music and latin influenced grooves you will not be disappointed as we open the EP with “Dihya” an Arabian disco groover with peaks and good time vibes galore that will lift any dancefloor.  “Vamos A Gozar” is a latin slo-mo summer funker flecked with some warm acid touches here and there for easy doors and bar sets before its full on carnival time with “My Name Is Samba”, another masterclass in V4YS’s expert reworking prowess. The head to world music boogie vibes for the final track “Tentami” a mid tempo horn driven groover before label honcho Fingerman extends the lead track “Dihya” with his re-edit, taking the finest elements of the track and building on them.

My special guest this week is Chuggin Edits, a talented DJ and producer with his finger firmly on the pulse of disco. He’s been releasing quality tracks since 2015, on major labels such as Masterworks Music, Hot Digits, Midnight Riot, Alpaca Edits and Tropicl Disco. In addition he is the co-owner of the hugely repsected record label “Slightly Transformed”, whose latest disco compilation topped the Juno charts recently. 

His music has been played and championed by Craig Charles, Cafe Del Mar and Disclosure, as well as having numerous plays on my radio show.

As a DJ, Chuggin Edits also has some great skills, and he has weaved together some fine disco beats for us this week.
