My name is Rayna and I host a radio show on VOWR.ca (VOWR 800AM if you’re on the Island) It is a wonderful all volunteer Radio Station celebrating 100 YEARS on the air in 2024  We are located in St. John’s, Newfoundland, Canada.  

I started a new show called the “The Unsigned Radio Hour” where I give artists from SoundCloud and other venues a chance to have their songs heard on the radio. 

I love listening to, writing or playing music.  I understand what a wonderful feeling it is to share that love and passion with others.

A collective in a vast sea of musical instruments and gear.
Then of course, anything can happen. 
Based in Stockholm, Sweden, we work hard for the ultimate songs, with the best lyrics, the intriguing chords and the sound and quality that we our selves long to hear. 
We always try to learn and on Soundcloud we find so much talent and insight – that's why we often ask around for new tips and tricks, gear and studio technique.
Progressive Rock in our philosophy is a free form and a intuitive way to music and the imaginary land beyond the horizon...(pretentious? Oh Yea!)

Johnson is a lo-fi indie guitarist , singer-songwriter from the North East of England, known for his atmospheric soundscapes and intimate melodies. Supported by ABUS MUSIC, he records under various guises, including Johnson, Johnson and The Phantom Ramms, and Abus Soundscapes, which can all be found on Soundcloud.

His latest project, Within, Without (2024), offers brand-new tracks that explore themes of introspection, blending raw lo-fi textures with hauntingly melodic elements. 

Past collaborations include The Middle Of Life with UK singer songwriter  Brian Peters  and Brazilian artist John Alberto Moraes. The latter collaboration  resulting in the Departures EP.

Johnson's previous EP, Singing to Rooks (2016), is available on Bandcamp and continues to resonate with fans of indie and lo-fi guitar music. The EP  can also be found on YouTube and other music platforms like Spotify and Amazon Muisc. 

Chosen as Soundclouder of the Day, his  “smooth, complex, and melodic,” Johnson’s instrumental work on Crossing the River' highlights his intricate guitar style.

You know the feeling you get when you've found something new and original and you want to keep it to yourself but you can't help it and you have to shout it from the rooftops and say "This guy is amazing!!" This is one of those moments. I was asked to do some production work not long ago for his E.P. His style? Folk. Really good hearty folk. Lyrically, this guy is a genius. He writes the kind of words you wish you had thought of about 5 minutes previous! His attitude towards his work as an artist was such an inspiration as he let me guide him on certain aspects, it was me that ended up learning so much from that day. I couldn't really tell you who he sounds like, as he has a raw and unfinished quality to his voice, it just fits into place with the atmosphere that he creates from his lyrics and melodies.”

As a composer, I am fortunate to have collaborated with incredibly talented artists from SoundCloud. This includes my latest album with the truly extraordinary soprano Maribel Villarroel and the masterful arranger and pianist René Calderón for 'Canciones para Pablo Neruda.' These songs are based on the poems of the great Pablo Neruda, and permission has been granted by the Pablo Neruda Foundation. Please listen, Maribel is a tour de force and her and René's interpretation of Neruda and these songs is so heartfelt. I am so deeply moved and appreciative of their artistry.

Other albums are 'Entre Jupiter y Marte,' and 'Reflections.' The remarkable tenor Ricardo Tamura, accompanied by the accomplished pianist Lucy Arner, performed 'Entre Jupiter y Marte'. Ricardo and Lucy are both amazing. These songs were co-written with the acclaimed author Antonio Skarmeta, which is my most special and dear honor. 'Reflections' is a collection of my earlier works that were wonderfully interpreted by the gifted pianist Javier Gonzales.

Additionally, these albums are accompanied by musical scorebooks filled with beautiful art, created by great Chilean, American, and Japanese artists. These books, with the same titles as the albums, are available on Amazon.com.  'Canciones para Pablo Neruda" has been registered with the Ministerio de las Culturas, las Artes y el Patrimonio de Chile.

Another special collaboration among many is with Paul-Maurice Roche, the incredible pianist and composer.  Thank you for taking a song to new levels of nuance and emotion.

Three names I go by are JOrdon, Jae Ordon and Mascot’s Distance,(which I use everywhere such as Spotify, Apple, etc.).

I've written music for Taye Diggs, Ian Gillan of Deep Purple, Pete Yorn, the Gorillaz Dan the Automator, John Spencer Blues explosion’s Russel Simons and Bed Bath and Beyond.  In summer of 2022 my recording Life Whispers On was #7 on Canada’s Cashbox Radio.  Currently finishing up a musical called Humane.


I'm playing all the instruments on many tunes, ones I'm not are…Brian Allen of Lori McKenna, Christopher Cross and Robben Ford on Bass, Michael McDonald's horn section, in addition to Yutaka Uchida playing drums on some tunes and Laurent Medelgi on guitar, also Danny Zanker and Joe Bearclaw Burcaw playing bass.
