The album came along after a trip in east Europe (Bulgaria and Romania) I was inspired by beautiful landscapes and a few moments that blew me away. The project "Onkalo" I'm doing on the side with a group of friends is exploring some ideas, one of them being a visitor coming from space and walking around a deserted earth.

I wanted to illustrate this idea of loneliness which is something we can all experience in our daily life. I personally need that time to think and break from society, go deeper within and explore the endless possibilities of the mind. I hope the music can bring a glimpse of that experience to the listeners.

Further expeditions into spacey and celestial techno can be found on Blue Veil’s second EP for Dichotomy Records. Danny Clancy’s new project assembles four measured and characteristic tracks on the “Natural Boundary” EP, all wrapped up in Dichotomy’s bespoke design aesthetic on the 12” vinyl.
“Three Horsemen Of The Apocalypse” offers a beautiful contrast of dark and light via a heady, acidic techno flavour aginst ethereal vocals, and “Broken Pieces” delivers delicate electronica bathed in glorious melody. The atmosphere remains celestial throughout “Measure Of Time”, with driving toms marching through a blanket of deep, melancholic synths, whilst “Light Mask” signs off the EP with a rhythmic and percussive workout that teases with its blissful tones.

For the second release on their recently launched imprint, Circle Of Live is proud to present Live At Freerotation 2018.

The follow-up to Loop For Today is comprised of select cuts from an improvised live performance during this year's Freerotation festival.The artists took over the main stage with an unscripted, freeform live performance from open till close.

Offering a recorded first glimpse into the free-flowing experimental set-up currently touring top European venues, the EP is a collaborative soundscape with contributions from Dorisburg, Johanna Knutsson, Mathew Jonson, Sebastian Mullaert and Steevio.With no prior planning whatsoever aside from an agreed BPM, the recording presented on this unique release offers a snapshot into the imperfections and charm of truly improvised live performance - a refreshing notion in today’s overproduced musical climate. Conceptually, the EP can be understood as more of an open-ended argument in favour of spontaneity and collaboration than a collection of tracks.

Envisioned and created by Sebastian Mullaert, Circle Of Live represents an organic process which aims to detach itself from the habitual routines of dance music, to allow the weird and wonderful elements of collaborative performance to truly come to life. Utilising Sebastian’s unique live set-up which can accommodate any number of participants at once, artists drop in and out and collaborate as much or as little as they like.

COL002 captures the best of Circle Of Live at Freerotation, an odyssey of sound, with rich textures providing a grounding for playful melodic and percussive improvisations. Gently rolling kick and bass patterns drift in and out, carrying the listener along, whilst analogue call and responses showcase the pure synergy of the artistic interplay.

Sebastian Mullaert and Circle Of Live continue to tour Europe with select guest performers and have upcoming shows in Barcelona (Nov 24th @Nitsa), Amsterdam (Dec 14th @Shelter), Berlin (Dec 20th @Funkhaus), Munich (Jan 11th @Blitz), Brussels (Jan 26th @Fuse) and London (Feb 2nd @Village Underground).

There's no sign of "suspect second album syndrome" on this sophomore set from Brendan "Chymera" Gregoriy's celebrated synthesizer-fired ambient project Merrin Karras. Drawing on his love of 1980s new age and ambient records, as well as a life spent fetishising over electronic hardware, Gregoriy has delivered a set of swelling, slow-burn delights that invite you to share an imaginary journey through the Northwest Passage, a legendary route from the Atlantic to the Pacific Oceans via the Arctic Circle that's only accessible at certain times of the year. While some of the music is undeniably icy, there's genuine sonic warmth too; after all, when you can traverse the passage it's light 24 hours a day. In a word: gorgeous.

Due to the impact, the spaceship's landing struts dug into the hard surface, forming a dense dust cloud around them. They departed too far from their intended trajectory and made a forced hard landing. A critical dose of meteor fragments damaged one of the engines. It was necessary to fix the damage as soon as possible or to get an alternative type of fuel.

After looking around them, the space travelers began to move towards the mysterious craters almost by feel. Suddenly, the ground got out from under their feet. Due to poor visibility, the rush led to an expectable outcome. "Great, we're trapped!", - Cat looked at his companion from under his brows, insistently hinting at a clear explanation of what was happening.

– This is a Planet of Mineralization's Dubs, my friend.
– Hm...
– Its interior consists of metamorphic deposits formed by layers of two types of fossils: igneous and sedimentary.
– Mineralization's Dubs?!
– I don't know, what's bothering you?
– At least the fact that we are waist-deep in a swamp with an incomprehensible viscous substance!
– We'll get out, don't doubt it. There are still many mysteries to solve in the Universe. Just focus on these sound waves, can you hear them?
