As autumn approaches we return south of the border to reap the fruits of the ever prolific Dark Fidelity Hi Fi.

Fresh from his "Beautiful Fragments" album, back in March, the inimitable producer returns with part two of the story in the form of "Migration Of The Meaning".

An atmospheric lesson in the meeting of electronics and live instrument sampling that does it best to once again defy any category or genre.

This new album flickers between the signature DFHF sounds of whispered melodics, hovering synths and warm analogue dubs whilst flirting with a new cerebral approach that allows the sound palettes to evolve into shimmering tonal landscapes full of minimal but dreamy horizons. Music that will glow in the shadows or the light.

Multi-layered fine details and the focus on small movements to create aural travelogues give us a peek into the cinema of the mind of DFHF during his search for the "meaning". It's meandering and still at the same time in there but more importantly it's glistening and evolving.

Trey W, known by his moniker Church of the Undecided (COtu), is a multifaceted instrumentalist, musician, and producer with roots tracing back to grade school. His journey began as a percussionist, which laid a strong foundation for his diverse musical explorations.

Now focused on electronic music production (without the aid of AI), COtu thrives on the boundless possibilities of sound. Combining synthesizers, a drum kit, and unconventional instruments, he creates a distinctive sonic palette that seamlessly blends electronic elements with organic textures. The result is a rich, immersive musical experience that captivates and engages squirrels and centipedes.

Cooking Sounds and Wild Rituals are new series of sound improvisations recorded live in unusual locations: a kitchen, a forest, a meadow, a cave...
I'm far from the concert hall or the studio.
By maintaining a very minimalist approach (some sound tools are found or made on site)and mobile (no electrical connections, electro instruments powered by batteries, even solar power, hi-fi amplifiers if necessary), I undertake a poetic and acoustic adventure that allows me to adapt to the places I visit. Because in this research, mobility and lightness are priority axes.
Random encounters with multiple universes, compositions that dialogue with moving spaces, voices, sighs, and texts that evaporate into the air, ephemeral.
A time spent listening, a suspended moment during which sounds and colors intermingle and gently begin to trace an acoustic path. Words and sentences are formed and unformed, carrying   
more sounds than meaning, even though the latter is constructed in situ in the chaos of the indefinable...
