So much space to get lost in within this track. It pays huge dividends when you reach the crescendo.

No Arrival - Two Souls (from the "Chase" album)

"Xuxurlatu" is the musical project of two siblings, based in Andorra.

Preferring to keep their real names confidential, the duo work under the names of "Handia" and "Sustraia".

They both moved to Andorra from their native Bilbao in their early twenties to pursue their dreams of working in wildlife conservation. It's their love of the fauna and flora that act as the core basis and inspiration of their debut release, "Ama".

"Ama" is a deep journey into the forest of the Pyrenees. A rich and progressive album that acts as an ascension from the green to the blue. Awash with prismatic instrumentation and textures, a sweeping ambient mist, melodic hues and vaporous pads. While the modular sequences pulse along gently before blurring into the transcendent soundscapes.

There's an optimistic light in the dark that we can save this planet of ours. "Ama" is the soundtrack to that optimism.

Bricolage head @fragilex, returns for his first standalone release on the label since 2019's "The Butterfly Effect".

"The Great Brain Robbery" sees a continuation of his exploration of all things cerebrum based. Both in humans and machines.

The narrative that runs throughout is one of "What If?"

What if we could download our consciousness? What if we could upload them into machines? What if those were hacked into? What if they were modified?

The music itself is a series of complex and futuristic soundscapes welded onto sturdy broken beats and accelerated percussive transmissions. Electronic grey matter illuminated with flashing neurons and intricate, mutated circuitry, communicating with viral chain reactions. There's elements of ambient, IDM, techno and drum n bass scattered throughout this propulsive and dynamic journey.

Will the machines take over? Can we stop them?

Our third release of 2023 comes from Urgula. Following on from his much lauded "Frequency Wars" EP on the label back in 2020, the Glaswegian producer returns to Bricolage with his first full length release in the form of "Caustic Manifest(o)".

An album inspired in part by Italian futurism, the dark and hypnotic soundscapes on show here give privy to the idea of traversing through galaxies, planets and moons. With dynamic, pulsing and energetic movements, we launch from earth and are propelled upwards into orbit and beyond with a cluster of dystopian bleeps and alien-like atmospherics that teleport us into a hyper space soundtrack of serrated percussion, spiraling modular tones and extra terrestrial sound design.

This is club music for the worlds above us.

We welcome Glaswegian producer @hellosulci to the label with the release of her debut, "Before The Echo".

The story of Sulci is an inspiring one. She was born with tinnitus and partially deaf meaning that she struggled to appreciate and experience music throughout her childhood in the early 2000's. Almost shutting music out of her life completely through frustration. As she reached her teens she began learning piano and guitar as a way of escapism and adapted a new concentration on how to immerse herself in sound. She also began recording acapella takes of her own voice on her iPhone and layering them together to make purely vocal soundscapes. Shortly thereafter she picked up Ableton software and started to make backing tracks and accompaniments for her multi range vocals.

This journey leads us to "Before The Echo".

It's an album rich in emotion and depth. Carefully pieced together to tell a story. It pulls together elements of ambient, electronica, garage, chamber pop, choral, sampledelia and funk. Quite the cocktail.

The result is a colourful and vibrant palette of sounds that immediately obtain a signature aesthetic for this fresh new producer. Stripped back and slowed down garage style beats intertwining with layered vocals alongside a mix of brooding soundscapes that are juxtaposed with some more uptempo numbers that come with an experimental pop edge.

There's a specific tone that makes intermittent appearances throughout at the start and close of a few tracks. They act as a reminder and recognition of her own struggles to reach a comfortable space in the world of audio.

We, for one, are glad that she has reached that destination.
