Nausika are a duo, based in Leeds, that are quickly rising in the ranks pushing their own blend of dark, stripped back Drum & Bass. After meeting at University only a year ago, they have already caught the attention of many of the top flight; including Teebee's Subtitles Music. At only 21 and 19 years old, their future's bright, but their sound's quite the contrary.

COMMAND STRANGE - #DNB READING PROMO MIX

Welcome to Project Mohawk.

It all started out as a codename for a collection of tracks we’d signed from a select group of talented emerging artists, each with their own distinct sound and style of production. As the idea took shape, so the quantity and quality of the music grew, culminating in a commitment to nine separate EP releases. From that point forth our aim was to come up with a twist whereby each release could stand out in its own right, but also form a part of something bigger... 


So along with the usual digital download components, each release will have its own limited edition lathe cut 10” vinyl dubplate featuring our two favourite tracks, lovingly presented in a hand made and numbered ‘jigsaw of art’ card sleeve. Collect all 9 dubplates and arrange the sleeves in a certain order to solve the puzzle and reveal a single larger image.
 
But it doesn’t stop there…

Those purchasing the vinyl will also get a selection of exclusive bonuses, such as a free WAV download of all tracks on the same release, plus bonus tracks that will not be made available on the digital release, and the odd Project Mohawk sticker thrown in for good measure. Without doubt, this is a unique musical compilation to be collected, enjoyed and treasured for many years to come.

Felipe Antunes is Young:G, the latest in a growing line of talented Brazilian music producers to light up the drum & bass scene. Having started out making his own beats in 2010, Young:G has come a long way in a relatively short space of time, steadily progressing with a host of respected labels and amassing production credits like a Philatelist would collect prized stamps.   

Having reached the attention of us here at Broken Audio in late 2014, we are now ready to unleash Young:G’s first solo EP with us, and it surely marks his biggest release to date. With an opening track featuring the mighty vocal skills of true scene legends The Ragga Twins, backed up with a selection of cuts to showcase music as deep as it is uncompromising, it’s easy to see why this EP is already receiving extensive DJ and Press support.

Here at E-Motion we strive to provide the full spectrum of drum & bass, ensuring everyones needs are met. So after our recent couple of lighter, more liquid-esque releases, we are now venturing back to the dark side to supply you techy, roller heads a dose of straight up, in your face D&B. 

First up we have production duo, Parasite Unit. Hailing from a town where Drum & Bass is rife, these Bristol lads really know how to compile a serious dance floor destroyer and their track Zero is the perfect example. Rumbling low end and crunching mid bass tear through the speaker stack infecting your mind state like a parasite. 

The flip side sees Bass Sheriff making his debut on the label with another stomping slab of the twisted, growling filth. The drums alone are enough to make your body shake, coupled with the nasty distorted layers of bass, this one is sure to cause havoc anywhere it’s played.

Next up on the guest mix series we have Royal Audio head honcho, RAYBEE - 22, hailing from Brighton, currently taring apart the Manchester Drum and Bass scene where he studies Music Production. RAYBEE has been producing for over 7 years and has covered a wide spectrum of drum and bass in his time, from jump up, to rollers, and now on to dark, techy minimal. His latest release on 4 corners music has seen support from the likes of Ray Keith, S.P.Y, Aphrodite and many more. 

With influences from Ivy Lab, Skeptical and Alix Perez, RAYBEE’S style is hard hitting upfront bangers, sure to destroy any dance floor. Expect to hear a lot more from this guy in the coming year with plenty of tracks in the works, as well as collaborations and DJ sets all over the UK.
