.The Making of:

I moved my mic into my bathroom because the acoustics are wonderful.
Found this beat and serval other beats on YouTube and played them on my min speaker.

I can tell if I like a beat within the first few seconds.
I liked this beat pressed record and let the words flow through me.

I recorded it in one take but because my vocals and the beat where on one audio file it was a pain to produce. 

I let the music marinate for like 3-4 years, listened to it often and then finally figured out a solution.

I layered my harmonies and called it a day.

I finally went back to it today and decided to release it to make some space for new inspiration.

The opening line;

Is about how life keeps moving on even if you are burdened and still.
Which can bring comfort, depending on how you hear it.
The world did not end, the seas are still in motion, the sky is still blue.

The rest of the song, in my interpretation, feels like a breakup.
when with this other person, 'I can't breathe' 
I can't be myself
I can't live how I needed to live.

Water is life.
I need water translates to I need more, I need freedom, I need life.
I need nourishment, 
And as a plant I cannot survive without it.

Like the ocean
I am deep
I am wide
I am wet

I am all these things and like the ocean I cannot be contained.
