**Production Notes**

I always thought the sine to be a pretty tame waveform... until I treated it with some distortion. Same here: Most of the original material is mangled with some sort of amp-simulation. 

All the drums, pads and noises were extracted from the raw material in Ableton. The melody instrument is a re-synthesis made by Iris.

Producing, arranging and mixing took 2 hours. The title was taken from Band Name Maker.

**Disquiet Junto Project 0114: Five Sines**

This week’s project is a celebration of the new album by Dave Seidel, who also goes by Mysterybear. Titled ~60 Hz, it just came out on the great Irritable Hedgehog record label. Seidel has extracted five parts of one track from his album and made them available for reworking by the Disquiet Junto. The album is based on combining sine waves, and in keeping with that approach we will in this project combine parts of his album.

RELEASED ON JUNE 2nd 2014 -- a remix of You Don't Love Me (No, No, No) by Devil Dandy, taken from 'Laid Bare: Love Songs' performed by Juice Vocal Ensemble. 

Following their critically acclaimed debut album 'Songspin' Juice Vocal Ensemble release their eagerly awaited second album on the Nonclassical label.

Laid Bare: Love Songs is a set of specially commissioned love songs from diverse composers from the worlds of classical, jazz, folk and avant-pop integrated and juxtaposed with a series of covers and adaptations of classic love songs including Rihanna’s 'Only Girl In The World', Erasure's 'A Little Respect' and 'You Don't Love Me (No No No)’ by Dawn Penn.

Commissioned composers include Gavin Bryars, Errollyn Wallen, Anna Meredith, Mica Levi (Micachu and the Shapes), Jim Moray (award-winning folk artist), Phillip Neil Martin and Dai Fujikura. For the covers and adaptations of the classic love songs Juice Vocal Ensemble collaborated with MaJiKer, producer and co-writer of the French avant-pop sensation Camille.

In addition to this mix, the album also includes remixes by acclaimed producers THiMK (British composer specialising in film, videogames, modern dance and theatre ), Broken Hours (based in Portland, Oregon and presenting the album with an beautiful ambient remix) and Clay Gold (author, librettist, sound artist, audio engineer and compulsive field recordist).
