You Can Never Stop

This is the story of Seagrave Tiller Hook and ladder 5211 who served with the Glencove Volunteers fire fighters  in Glencove, Long Island, new York from 1987 until 2011. when she finished service she was  bought by an Irish man called Liam Moore who has a passion for Fire Brigade and has quite a collection. He transported her from America to Ireland and this song tells the true story, or maybe a part of the tale of her travels from Glencove and her arrival here in Dublin. she is 56 foot long, 30tonne and has a 100f foot ladder, driven by a V8 engine and it was my pleasure to ride in her for a few hours with Liam.  Liam brings her to charity events and exhibitions to show her off and spend most of his time underneath or on top working on her. here is a youtube link to her arriving in Ireland, we will be putting a  youtube video for the song together in due course .

The story starts in  Glen Cove, long Island USA 
Ladder  5211 starts up  for her last day 
All the boys from the volunteers 
Could have filled up the water tanks with tears,  
They didn’t want to see her go away 
But they knew she had done her stint and that she couldn’t stay 
So they gave her a big send off and sent her on here way 
flashing lights and sirens blazing 
they all said their good bye that night
from the Station to the docks there wasn’t one dry eye in sight 

Chorus 
Oh Liam Moore’s fire Brigade is the best you’ve ever seen 
She’s 50 foot from front to back and he keeps her very clean 
She came all the way from Glen Cove City in the USA 
Now she’s parked in Liam Mores driveway and she’s here to stay

She was loaded up on a ship bound for Dublin IreLand 
Where Liam moore agus Laim Beag had everything in hand 
They couldn’t  hold in the  excitement 
when the ship docked at Dublin Keys 
And when the dockers took her off the ship they  both got weak at the knees

They drove her home via  pears street past Tara street fire station 
Where all the boys from the fire brigade  gave her a standing ovation 
They drive up O Connell street 
and past the GPO  
With the sirens on and flashing Lights it’s the only way to go .

All the neighbour on the road  were excited to see her arrive 
Liam knocked down half the house trying to get her in the drive 
And Annies from number 10  
Said Liam lock hard try that again 
He’s never going to get her in the drive

They eventually inched that big yoke in 
To a very small  tight space 
And when they turned the engine off see  the grin on Liam moors face

His heart his soul his everything has gone into this truck
Its cost him quite a lot of Do but he doesn’t give a Fiddlers

This is one of my all time favourite songs.
Summertime was an "Aria" composed by George Gershwin for the 1935 Opera Porgy and Bess. They lyrics were written by Du Bose Heyward. The song is also co- credited to Ira Gershwin
I added some strings but thatks to jazzbacks for the wonderful backing.

plus de folie destructive. 
Une pensée très émue pour les peuples qui paient un lourd tribut 
de la démence des hommes.

extremely heavy.
As we all yearn for lasting tranquility and peace
in a world struggling to recover from a deadly pandemic
and exhausting, some have decided to take us to still
no more destructive madness.

Danse Etoile Ballet (www.danseetoile.org) premiers two contemporary ballets June 3-4.  “In A Dialogue with Gravity” explores the parallel between modern architecture, movement and the need to push and defy gravity.  “Matisse’s Gardens” brings to life the bold color and forms that Henri Matisse first explored in his collages and drawings.
Matisse first visited Morocco in the winter of 1912.  Matisse found Morocco so different and exotic that he ended up making numerous sketches, drawings, and paintings of it, or more precisely, of what he saw in it.  Matisse was quite struck by the people’s physiognomy and colorful garments, the architecture, the daily outdoor scenes, and routines… and it shows in most of his works from this period (1912-1913).  This music for the ballet, using ethnic instruments and percussion, reflects on this time of Matisse's life in Morocco.

This is a track taken from The eye Album, I did with Fay from China Doll, I never released this track separate from the album, it was mastered by Louis Nicastro the Stranglers Producer and the Wurzels keyboard player, I had a great time in recording in the Stranglers Studio, I used my Gibson Chet Atkins Classical Guitar for this piece a great tone and balance on it. Enjoy.

Bruce Klepper is a Colorado based composer with thousands of listeners worldwide. Klepper studied music composition in the 1970's and received a degree in music composition and theory.  After writing music for many years and starting a tech company based in Colorado, Klepper retired in 2014 from business so he could devote myself to his true passion, composing music. Klepper's music premiered in Carnegie Hall, September 2022.  Klepper writes music in a number of different styles, including contemporary classical music, jazz, soundscapes using field recordings, ambient music, and ballet music.  Klepper has been composing music for Danse Etoile Ballet (www.danseetoile.org) since 2016. Klepper has been collaborating with Parlando School of Musical Arts (www.parlando.org) faculty Britta De Groot and Sergei Govorov for over a year now, composing and arranging new music for the dynamic piano and saxophone duo to premier around the United States. Klepper's music can be heard on all major streaming platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, and SoundCloud.
