Parque El Retiro in Madrid evokes a certain calm and spacious freedom. This piece for piano emulates that tranquillity and openness. The main motif is made up of six notes. Each of the first four notes acts as the starting note for the repetition of the initial idea.

This is one of my shortest compositions. I wrote this a couple of years ago after watching the icicles dripping on my roof in the sunlight.
