Description: One of my most recent compositions, an airy ballad called 'Blue In Spring'. The inspiration came from a melody that popped into my head on a recent run. This is the first ever performance of the tune with my jazz trio, Up Jumped Three, from 6/8/23.

I've been wanting to figure out a way to adapt this tune for bass for a bit and I sat down tonight to experiment.  It's a solo/layered cover of Lorde's 'Royals' with multitracked solo electric bass.  The bass's voicings can be so thick that I had to strip down the harmonies a bit, and I took liberties with the 'bridge'.  Neat cover though, and great song to begin with.
