Drunk In Love (The Weeknd Remix)

Jimmy Edgar's magical multimedia empire Ultramajic continues its steady output of heady dance wares with a new drop from the enigmatic Aden. After a few very well-received releases from the main man himself, the label will welcome a slew of exciting new recruits to the roster in the year to come.

After a smoking hot white label on Ultramajic earlier in the year, Aden keeps the bar impossibly high for 2014 with a set of 4 extended pieces of house-fueled, techno-touched rollers designed for maximum euphoric impact. It's clear that seasoned (or at least extraordinarily talented) hands have crafted these dynamic tunes - they shine, bump, and soar in all the right places. It's no accident - the arrangements here are the results of a truly inspired mind. 

Heads who don't know yet will have a fun time following the clues and playing "guess who" but that's ultimately beside the point - the tracks stand firmly on their own as ultra-effective dancefloor tools loaded with memorable vocal hooks, heavy grooves and unstoppable club momentum. Inspired by Aden's own "mystical experiences", it isn't hard to imagine peak-timers getting sweaty and transcendental to these four hard-working, muscular belters. There is a top-notch precedent being set here, and it only makes it all the more exciting to see what Ultramajic conjures up for us in the near future.

Jackal's Bass influenced House strays further away from the typical form of House music, pushing the boundaries into a more energetic and futuristic sound.
 
"I’ve wanted to experiment more with more interesting basses and the relationship between the bass and the drums within my tracks. Hopefully this is reflected in the EP with the focus also being on the tracks being suitable to being played out."

He has had support from the likes of Brent Kilner, 902 Music, Certified Jackin’ and various radio shows such as BBC Introducing and on Future Radio.

On the 12th of July 2014, Intricate Records will hold a special showcase at the annual GES Festival. The large event is dedicated to electronic music, extreme and adventure sports — the showcase by Intricate Records boasts an impressive team of Cosmonaut, Envotion, Fon.Leman, Poison Pro and PROFF.

The annual festival of electronic music and extreme sports «GES» was established in 2007 and will unite the fans of active lifestyle and club music already for the 8th time in 2014 on the territory of Samara region in Russia. The sand of Kopylovo, the massive chain of Zhigulevskie mountains and, of course, the river Volga create a favourable soil not jut for beach dancing but also for a wide variety of adventure outdoor activities. Nowadays GES festival takes place close to the wickets of Zhigulevskaya hydroelectric power station, near the picturesque water storage reserve — for its large size it is popularly called «Zhigulevskoe sea». The event is held with the general support of Togliatti city district Administration and Department of Tourism of Samara region, it puts together the appearance of over 20 electronic dance music live acts and DJs from all around the world with over 20 different extreme sports activities. For the first time in the history of GES Festival, Intricate Records will present a solid label showcase at Ultraviolet dancefloor — on the 12th of July 2014 the Dutch project Envotion, the most prolific resident artist Fon.Leman plus the DJs Cosmonaut, Poison Pro and PROFF will headline the night and display the diverse sides of the modern electronic sound as promoted by the Russian Progressive label.

Fon.Leman prepares official two-parts compilation, as a part of Intricate Records label showcase on GES Festival 2014. Its tracklist fully provides the title of Alex Fon.Leman as the most prolific label resident. Half of the material is provided by himself. The compilation will be available in stores Beatport and iTunes, as well as on CDs in Russia.

newcomer to Pineapple Digital. Jon greets us 
from Vizcaya on isla de Espana, since a young age he has
had an avid interest in music, starting with Ibizian acid 
house and moving into the progressive side. He has gained 
support from artists such as Paul Van Dyk, Ruben de Ronde, 
Roger Shah and Paul Oakenfold. Releasing on the likes of 
Nueva Digital, Incepto and Terminal4 (Blackhole) he raises 
the bar another step and brings us 'The Joy of Living'.

Sunny Terrace aka Ji Hwan Hwang from Seoul, Korea is back 
again to do the final remix. This is distinct and unique 
with enchanting strings, the subtle vocal and haunting guitar 
plucks. Life is for living and achieving ultimate JOY and 
Sunny Terrace has it nailed. 


In Jon's own words his inspiration for this track :

In the case of "La Alegría De Vivir" which is simply the 
spanish translation of 'The Joy of Living', when I created 
the main chords and the first melodies, It came to my mind this 
title, because they seemed like a melancholy of melodies at 
the same time cheerful and positive, and that's how I see the life.
 
   
Life for me, even though bad things happen, I think 
it's a fantastic opportunity that we have had,  full of
wonderful things that we have to enjoy and avoid negative

For Lost Records latest release we headed up North for a bumper package from the forthright of County Durham’s clubland. Andy Lee has been on our radar for a while and from his production skills in a previous life we knew his soulful roots would work well on a classic deep dancefloor vibe for Lost. The lead track ‘Deeper’ is a relentless drum arrangement sitting nicely with a bass groove. The yelping vocal sample accommodates the driving beats creating a dark underground bouncing Balearic record.

On the remix, Josh Butler steps up with his characteristic haunting bassline rearrangement and a much higher tempo synth collection giving a more jackin’ feel to the original. The infrequent vocal stabs topped with a killer breakdown create an overwhelming rhythm throughout.

Andy’s B-side of this EP ‘Hex’ is based on a funky synth arrangement. The slowly filtered vocal hook and the step class style drums matched with a distant breakdown showcase this stellar dancefloor sound.

Alexander Saykov is back on track on Stellar Fountain Deep, with two delicious deep tunes, Nevsky Prospect and Traveller. Nevsky Prospect is a collab production with Ouvert, which combines tendering synth sounds with subtle layers of house rhythm. bdTom's reload is merging some relaxing dub elements with an overall smooth, but dancefloor friendly vibe. Lorchee & I-REC were up to a more pushing theme, with a polished tech frame.<br>Traveller on the B-side operates with hypnotic approach, while stay true to the deep essence.

With Guy J’s eagerly anticipated third artist album drawing ever closer on John Digweed’s Bedrock Records, the first offering is delivered in the form of three intricately crafted productions titled ‘Nirvana’.

Forever drawing influence from contrasting styles, genres and concepts, Guy J has become synonymous with creating innovative and out of the box productions such as ‘1000 Words’ which received an array of solid reviews from leading publications within the music industry.
