Goes Without Saying is the lead single off of Bryan Ruby's upcoming 2024 EP 'Found and Lost'. Coming off a selection as finalist for the 2023 John Lennon International Songwriting Prize, Ruby released Goes Without Saying on Valentine's Day (2/14/24), and performed it live for the first time in front of a packed audience at a special release show called 'Bryan Ruby's Broken Hearts Club' at The Lipstick Lounge in Nashville, TN.

“Goes Without Saying is a punch to the gut. It's real, it’s raw, it’s everything I just went through. Pain, loss, and heartache are all I have to give right now.” says Ruby. 

The song has already won praise around the music industry. Says SiriusXM's Tara Gore, "Goes Without Saying" is a real departure from Bryan's past songwriting. It's him getting more comfortable with sharing his emotions and I'm truly proud of him. “My lover found another so now I’m the one who’s free” belts out Bryan Ruby in ‘Lost On Me’, a heartbreak jam about moving on, letting go, finding yourself and giving the middle finger to that toxic ex. Written alongside Grammy-Award winning Songwriter David Ritz (Sexual Healing, Marvin Gaye), the song mixes upbeat melodies and infectious energy with a self-reflective story of lost love, delivered on a dimly lit stage at a rundown bar called ‘The Broken Hearts Club’. Despite the pain depicted in the lyrics, there's an underlying resolve and a steadfast desire to move forward while staying true to oneself. 'Come Back - Acoustic' is vulnerable, it’s the moment you look a deep wound in the eye and say ‘no more’. It was an honor to join an actual real-life rockstar in the studio and make this new version come to life.

I went in the studio for a whirlwind acoustic session with Mumford & Sons banjo player Matt Menefee & producer David Axelrod to record this brand new acoustic version of ‘Come Back’.
