Cryptic Wisdom is the hybrid alt-rap project of Arizona-bred artist David Gonzalez, blending raw intensity with rock melodies and hard-hitting hip-hop lyricism. No genre is off limits. This is music born from pain—battles with sobriety, childhood trauma, heartbreak, and hopelessness—transformed into something powerful.

Vulnerability and grit run through every verse, creating a sound that nods to multiple genres but exists entirely on its own. This isn’t just music. It’s survival with a soundtrack.

Grew up in the 90’s, always fascinated with music. Developed a desire to DJ in middle school watching the DJ’s do their thing. Got into DJ’ing around 2012, worked with a group of friends who had already formed a local DJ coalition called Acacia Beats. We played bars, raves, and festivals. I later branched out to doing non-edm events as people wanted more mainstream music at weddings and typical bar nights, etc… I’m well versed in American and Latin music. I am also an amateur hobbyist producer, a craft I would like to spend more time on at some point in life.
