Burnout Sumner loves it when the groove takes control, that’s what makes each of his sets a surprising one as he notoriously takes genre-hopping detours where oldschool tracks can exist right next to brand new ones as well as underground goodies are officially allowed to hold hands with all-time classic hits. For the Berlin-based music lover, a good DJ set always calls for a few proper pop moments to resonate with the audience. As a curator he’s open to all sorts of genres, as DJ he’s mostly focussing on soulful house music, disco and retro-driven 90s rave vibes, he also shares a deep love for other grooving genres from funk to 80s hi-energy. In the end, it’s all about the fun and life-affirming communal power of a shared dancefloor. Besides these musical endeavours he also runs a mixtape project and sends out a regular mailout with musical recommendations.

Oh what a day! Sooo grateful for my dear friend Marla for the invite, to Italo Fundamentalo for accepting the takeover, and for the beautiful team at Praerie for making this day so special.

It was my "first big" festival, and having worked there for a couple of years, it was very emotional to see my former colleagues and friends still putting up a gem of a fiesta 🔥

For the set: I fucked up from the start 🤣 Pressing the end-of-the-song cue point of the first track, I had then 30 secs to make my first transition of the set .. self-sabotage final level - oh the sweat 🥵
