🍑Sfunk started with vinyl in 1999 playing for her own enjoyment. She hosted 2 shows on 90.3 WRST- Electronic Underground and Nocturnal Dimensions bringing in midwest djs while rave was under attack by the Rave Act. She took a break while being a badass roller derby player & official, moved to Detroit to join the circus but sadly tore her meniscus right before flying trapeze school. 
An abrupt relocation back to Wi in 2020 saw her entered the digital world. She jumped to Houston joining forces with Soul Bass Project & later HDC Houston Dj Collective. During that time still playing for herself and playing intimate house parties, sfunk went on to play her first party Barnyard Boogie #19 in Chicagoland in 2021 right to playing the historic Houston Silos for SDC's Where the Wild Things Are, to blessing the skyline views at Sunset in downtown Houston for TheCrew/BassMafia's SOLID monthly. She also enjoys being part of the string art installation crew at infrasound, tipper n friends), and helping run lazers with her dear friend Elfscape.

Amanie Illfated (pronounced ah-MAH-nee eel-fay-ted) is an award winning South Sudanese born international recording artist who incorporates her personal experiences growing up as a refugee in Canada to deliver powerful messages of empowerment. She has been described as the “African M.I.A.” with “a touch of Chloe Bailey”. Her music consists of thought-provoking lyrics that are mixed with dynamic R&B synths and fused with rhythmic reggae, afropop and trap inspired drums and are combined with her signature clear-toned vocals. 

She released her genre bending album ‘SATURN’ in October 2019 containing multilingual tracks like ‘The Hills’ and ‘You Will Never Know’. Her music has been played on various international radio shows including CBC’s Fresh Air and she has performed on Rogers TV for talk show 'Men 101' and on CTV Morning Regina. Amanie has been showcased and interviewed in magazines such as Canadian Musician and Prairie Dog Magazine.

Additionally, she has performed at numerous festivals such as Afrofest and Francophonie En Fête and at well known venues such as ModClub and Yonge & Dundas Square, at South Sudan Unite 2019 Minneapolis held former NBA Player Luol Deng and at Hollywood North Toronto’s 5th Annual TIFF Gala alongside Just John. She has also shared the stage with highly acclaimed artists P.Square, Dynamq, Emmanuel Jal, NOYZ and Kobo Town.

Amanie won Best R&B Artist of the Year at the 2021 South Sudan Music Awards. She has also received 2 nominations by African Entertainment Awards for Best Female Artist and Musician of the Year by South Sudanese ACE Awards.

She has worked with producers and engineers B.Morales, JT Aylward, Satnam Singh Chatha (5 Rivers Entertainment), and Caroline Akwe (LK Collective) as well as a collaboration on ‘You & Me’ with South Sudanese artist Yaba Angelosi (Assida Records). 

Amanie is currently working on her upcoming album, DIVINE, which is set to be released in spring 2022.

When Adrian Sutherland from the isolated Cree community of Attawapiskat was offered opening spot for Trooper in Timmins in 2011, he reeled in three other musicians from the James Bay to form Midnight Shine. His intention was to make the most of a one-off performance. Ten years, four albums, eight Indigenous Music Countdown “Top 10” radio singles, and 300+ media stories later… you could say he has.

Turning heads with a sound seamlessly mixing roots, classic and modern rock with touches of Mushkegowuk Cree, Adrian Sutherland & Midnight Shine have been lighting up the music world all the way from Canada’s Far North. Crafting a musical soundscape that gives a glimpse into their remote Canadiana landscape, they continue to push musical boundaries and boldly take new strides, while staying true to who they are and where they come from. A must-see band you’ll take a real shine to.
