Our Transmission series kicks off with a curated mix from the man himself, Bonza, who has been at the forefront of our project since day one. His selection spans decades of music, blending high-energy yet minimal grooves that reflect his natural affinity for geometrical musicality and symmetrical beats.

Bonza’s approach to mixing is all about creating a constant flow of vibrations, moving from meditative atmospheres to trance-like induction of a hypnotic phenomenon. This rare recorded mix showcases his craft, typically reserved for the dance floor.

Today, his sound is a refined blend of deep house, UK garage, and groove-driven rhythms, shaped by years of crate-digging and musical exploration.As the founder of Downtown Vibes, a movement that helped pioneer Tunisia’s underground electronic scene, and Eddisco Records, a vinyl-focused label and record store, Hamdi is deeply invested in nurturing talent and pushing quality sounds forward. 

He’s shared the stage with the likes of Christian AB and Luca Lozano, played across major European cities, and performed at some of Tunisia’s most renowned festivals.For this exclusive mix, Hamdi recorded a set at Silbergold in Frankfurt, capturing the energy of one of his favourite clubs. It’s been a while since we’ve had some prime listening material to share with you all so we thought we best get back in to the swing of things for 2017.

For our next episode we’ve invited along one of our bestest pals in the form of Dog Eat Dog co-founder Toby Nicholas. We’ve known Toby for many, many moons and his selection is always of an impeccable standard as he consistently keeps his ear firmly to the ground for those treasured gems, both old and new. This is why he’s always on the money taking care of bookings at one of our fave haunts in London, The Pickle Factory. 

This particular mix was recorded live on his home turf warming up for past BSU guest Sonja Moonear towards the end of last year.
