Some songs live in your head rent-free until you finally have to make them your own. For me, Kid Cudi’s Dat New New has been a favorite of mine since high school. I always told myself I’d remix this track once I had the skills to do it. This flip was one of the most fun processes I’ve ever had making a track. It all just came together perfectly, and I was actually able to articulate what had been in my head into reality. I had a blast adding my own twist while still honoring the original, and I’ve been playing this remix all summer. Now it’s finally yours!!! I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it.
