Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning. This psalm passage serves as inspiration for the contemplative new concert band work, although the music is not intended to be speciﬁcally religious or spiritual. The piece evokes a sense of hope in the face of adversity, courage in the way of fear, and healing in the wake of tragedy.
