The mightiest oak grows from the humblest of nut...

http://soundcloud.com/Spinforth started his weekly* Scour for the http://soundcloud.com/Ghettofunk website back in January 2011, assisted by fellow Hong Kong Ping Ponger's Morphosis and Fat Harry. His quest was to seek out the choicest cuts from the freshest, often unheard of, producers ploughing their trade on SoundCloud. The Scour soon blossomed into a bit of a phenomenon, unearthing some of the finest producers to not yet have their tracks out in the DJ scene!

With incredible numbers of people checking out the weekly* posts, it seemed a logical next step to set up a brand new digital label, showcasing, and officially releasing, the creamiest of the crop of The Scour. Boom! http://soundcloud.com/scourrecords was born!

Expect all Scour traditions to be upheld throughout the initial releases; selection process, BPM order, making up of new words, a touch of nepotism from time to time, it's all here. The first first release is an eight tracker - It was only mean't to be five - see what we mean about upholding all Scour traditions :)

From her very first live show in 2018, to headlining the O2 Academy Bristol and making her Glastonbury Festival debut, Chrissie Huntley is one to watch for 2022.
The soulstress kick-started her journey with her mental health awareness campaign 'Let's Talk About It', raising £500 for the charity 'Mind' in support of her first single release- 'If Only I Could'. She has since performed the song at the UK Houses of Parliament, supporting National Grief Awareness week, as well as playing numerous charity fundraiser shows across the country.
Chrissie hasn't been shy of support from the BBC, featuring on BBC Points West, BBC Introducing, and BBC Bristol, having been invited to perform at the 'BBC Children in Need' Christmas Party in 2019.
The Bristol singer's latest single 'Life Goes On' epitomises Chrissie's soul, sunshine, sparkle and sass whilst 'shouting self-care and self-love from the speakers' (The Music Flow Magazine).
Big things are to come from the Brit School graduate, with her debut EP in the making. For now though, Chrissie's musical mission is simple- to make people just a little bit happier.

Kodachrome are a young band from Bristol. They have quickly become an in demand band at local festivals and the city’s major rock venues. And have done this despite being closed off to the city's circuit of pub venues  (under 18s can watch bands but not perform). The bands public debut at Bristol's Battle of the Bands was at the Thunderbolt Bristol - where they took home a lot of hard earned experience (no soundcheck, tech-issues, etc.) but when, due to their dynamism, they proved worthy audience winners. Two years on Kodachrome are headlining major city venues and top stages at festivals. They also now have a growing, faithful fan base. 

Kodachrome sets are a mix of own material - moody and complex structures that build in intensity - along with some dynamic and unusual covers. The passion and commitment on stage from this musically savvy, street tough young band is impressive and the energy and enthusiasm on a live stage cannot be contained.  And their love for each other shines through.
