While Kryogen’s house music mission commenced when he embarked upon his DJ career in 2008, music has always been his cornerstone. Born in Taiwan and raised in Virginia, Kryogen has been a classically trained musician since childhood, playing competitively through high school and college. After graduating from the University of Virginia, he spent the next few years on the move - traveling as a management consultant for a major corporation. Ricocheting across the global enabled Kryogen to expand his breadth and depth of sound and incorporate new insights into his DJ sets. Kryogen has mastered the style of soulful house and tribal tech house, elevating his live performances to a new apex of energy.

Holding down residencies at DC hotspots such as Lima, Soundcheck, and Masa 14, Kryogen is equally comfortable in the club limelight as the after-hours warehouse underground parties in the crypt of Bushwick. No commonplace club banger, Kryogen caters to an evolving house sound with seasoned sophistication and a discerning ear for finespun detail. He embraces mixing as an art form and refuses to be a prisoner of any sound, drawing influence from top names like Axwell and Erick Morillo alongside subterranean kingpins such as Dennis Ferrer and Hot Since 82. Kryogen’s prowess for layering textured beats with infectious grooves captivates audiences with a narrative journey, a shared house saga that rarely ends before sunrise.
