Born in the BX but raised in Harlem his interest began in youth often finding himself scouting mixtapes being sold and/or handed out in the streets while also discovering new school talents such as Soulja Boy, Too Crunk & Crime Mob early on the internet. Intrigued by the sound he began to craft his own style around 11-12 years old producing his own beats & even recording his own lyrics to follow making him one of the youngest in his neighborhood to do so. His dedication to music and networking gave him a chance to work with local artist early on his career & even mainstream acts such as A Boogie & Fetty Wap. 50 cent, Lil Jon & T-Pain were also major influences of his sound as he also listened to newer acts such as Young Thug, Lil Peep & even Lil B before there rise to fame which explains his odd but unique mixed taste. Lil Shxwn is a rising star from the west side of St. Louis, Missouri, specifically the Maple and Union area. Known for his unique ability to weave lyricism over bouncy, infectious production, he brings a dynamic energy to the music scene. His journey began in the most organic way possible—family ties. His older cousin, Drama Dino, formed a rap group called Yung Westsydaz, bringing Lil Shxwn and another cousin, Bud, into the fold. It was here that Lil Shxwn’s love for music first took root, setting him on a path toward a promising career.

As a child, Lil Shxwn was captivated by Bow Wow, whose charisma and star power made a lasting impression. Over time, his musical influences expanded to include Lil Wayne, who became his favorite artist, and fellow St. Louis native Nelly, both of whom shaped his approach to music and storytelling.

For Lil Shxwn, making music is an art form akin to painting—a creative process that allows him to express himself while connecting with listeners. At the core of his music are stories, often centered around relationships. “Everybody has some kind of relationship in their life,” he explains. “That’s the main thing the world has in common.”

Unbound by strict genre classifications, Lil Shxwn approaches his craft with versatility. He views music as a form of storytelling guided by mood and experience, striving for diversity in his sound. His catalog reflects this range, connecting with listeners and offering something for every mood.

One of the standout moments in his career is his self-produced show at The Pageant, a prominent venue in St. Louis. The event drew crowds that lined up around the block and sang his songs word for word, creating an unforgettable night filled with energy and support from his hometown.

As he continues to rise, Lil Shxwn remains focused on pushing boundaries. His ambition is limitless, aiming to become a household name recognizable to people of all ages and backgrounds. “I want to outwork everybody. I don’t want to sit still and be comfortable. I want to shine,” he says.

Currently, Lil Shxwn is putting the finishing touches on his highly anticipated debut project. The first single, “Leave,” will drop soon, accompanied by a music video that promises to showcase his talent in full force. In addition, he’s set to appear in a reality show on NBC’s Peacock platform, slated for a mid-2025 release, giving fans an even closer look at the man behind the music.
