Well I was sitting in the lobby of the Commodore hotel 
When in walked a woman I used to know so well 
She was, looking like a million after all these years

As she walked across the room, to the reception desk 
A strange kind of feeling came into my chest 
And all them old memories came rushing in

The times we spent together 
The day that we met 
First time I held her hand I never will forget 
The way she smiled at me for no reason at all 
Still got some old photographs from the time she used to call

Well, last time I saw her she was waving goodbye 
Walking down the road with teardrops in her eyes

If things had worked out a little differently

Through the years I must admit 
I think about her now and then a little bit

Originally recorded this in 2017 but I learned a thing or two about mixing and mastering since then. Also I have better tools to perform said mixing and mastering more adequately. So I went back to the recording and fixed the drums, guitars, bass, vocals, overall mix and mastering treatment.

Especially this track for the run at the time was in need of it (I am happy with the other tracks for the most part).

This song started as an idea Bill came up with on his acoustic guitar. Having found each other on the Cloud and enjoying each other's music, Josh and Bill decided to do a collab. Bill is a real deal guitarist, who's as prolific as he is skilled. Of course, Josh invited Eclectic Collective to the party, too.
  Shortly after doing so, he laid down a bass part to Bill's skeleton withi his four string fretless bass. Ken followed suit, and after a back and forth, completed the rhythms secion. JJ dug in next, adding the thrilling strings that highlight the high points of the melody. 
  There wasn't a whole lot of room for everyone on this, though, as Bill had the guitar parts nailed down tight. However, after sitting on the shelf for about half a year, Carl came along and added the missing piece with his raucuos vocals. Stephen also fattened up the sound a bit with his acoustic rhythm guitar.  
  Once it was in the can, we asked Stephen to work his production, mix, and mastering magic on it, too, which he came through with, as always.
  This brilliant song almost didn't see the light of day. It sat for what felt like forever, until we decided to revive it. This will not be the last collab we do with Bill, though, who was generous in not only sharing his music with us, but allowing us to do whatever we wanted with it, too. We hope you enjoy listening to this as much as we enjoyed creating it.

It's Stones Covers Tuesday! When we were 20, my friend Micha and I had been spending dozens of hours in his small red car driving from gig to gig. The car had a tape deck, and the only tape we had was some Rolling Stones concert bootleg. Since then, this song has always been one of my favorites, and my take on it is to have added a bit more junkie feel.
