Canjelae, born “Canjelae L’che” in Bermuda, comes from a long line of known storytellers, poets, artists, and singers.

Throughout her early teens Canjelae, known affectionately as “Canji”, would find her herself lost in the piano, using music as an escape from the many changes, emotions, and rollercoasters life had in store. By the age of 17, she released her first single, “I’m Free.” An instant hit on her island home, the record shot to the top of charts and landed at number one on Bermudian Radio.
