Valentin Ortiz aka Nodo was born in Santa Rosa, La Pampa. Since the early beginnings, music has been playing an integral role for him, participating in bands and collaborating with other musicians. Artists like Simon Vuarambon, Kevin Di Serna, Andy Arias and Santi Mossman from his hometown have been a big influence.

Now he's going through a personal journey on his own productions, being more interested in deep house, deep dub and minimal. He has been supported by names like Guy J, George X, Electric & One, Pandhora, Adrien (RO), Fernando Ferreyra, Ramiro Rossotti and others.

A note from Kareem: "Music is probably the only real magic I have encountered in my life. There's not some trick involved with it. It's pure and it's real. It moves, it heals, it communicates and does all these incredible things.

Kareem has been honing in his sound over the past few years DJing in Cairo, Egypt. He has begun to shift his focus to production since gaining a gaining an appreciation for more melodic and cinematic sounds. Canopy Sounds 59: Alfa State

Gazing down from the highest peak, the music carved it's way through the valley below...

All Day I Dream artists - Classical Pianist/Composer Van Anh Nguyen and DJ/Drummer/Producer Mark Olsen blend their two worlds together to form a unique dreamy mix of live acoustic and electronic sounds.  Originally being musicians before diving into the Electronic world, the duo love to add in live elements in their production and live sets.

​Both successful in their individual careers: Van Anh (Signed to Universal Music) has toured as a Classical Pianist performing as a soloist with orchestras around the world and has taken out the iTunes no.1 spot multiple times in the Classical Singles Chart.   Mark Olsen won the 2016 DJ/Producer of the Year award at the AIMA awards, and has released music on labels such as Toolroom, EMI, Sony and Ministry of Sound.

Double Touch has performed around Australia, USA, Indonesia, Thailand, and Vietnam with Europe dates planned for 2020.

The glow of the warm sun cast an aural bliss that only the soul could unlock....

As a newcomer to the eclectic scene, Ultravizion is a bit of a mystery, spanning releases on The Purr, Dream Culture, RYNTH and Fuchsklang Musik. Ultravizion is also another half of the brand new record label @EchocentricRecords.

His craft is based on ambient, dreamy & lush sounds with emotive melodies and deep beats.  We are happy to say that he will be releasing "Ethereum" with us at Canopy Sounds this month of September. Keep your ears on this artist!

Canopy Sounds 62: Ultravizion

The colorful hues are reminiscent of the ebb and flow of beautiful music.....

A multi-instrumentalist trained at Berklee College of Music, Grünbaum blends electronic, symphonic and jazz elements to create his signature sound. Grünbaum delivers distinctive live/dj sets: trippy, sexy, soundtrack-esque tracks that move hips and open minds. Since 2010 he has toured the globe. With releases on Trapez, Desolat, Lucidflow and more, Grünbaum joined the All Day I Dream family in 2017, merging the vision of his Tech House act Grünbox with the lushness of a new sound.

Our 'Good Morning from ...' Guest Mix series will explore different artists from all around the world as they take us on a journey with their distinct and unique sounds that they'll showcase to represent their taste, surroundings and upbringing.

For the first time in our guest mix series, we travel to the Windy City of Chicago, Illinois. Today we welcome a co-founder of one of our favourite collectives and labels @canopy_sounds to the series, and he's crafted a beautiful journey to ease you into the day.

Canopy Sounds welcomes Toronto based duo, Beije. The Canadian outfit describes their musical outlet as as a blend of hypnotic rhythms and melancholic melodies that come together to create unforgettable moments on the dance floor. Listeners can expect a blend of subtle melodic techno influences as well as minimalist, organic and natural sounding tectures.  Recently their music has been featured on labels such as Endless Sands of Time, 3rd Avenue, and Nugget Music. After a successful 2019, we can't wait to see what 2020 has in store for these outstanding producers!

Enjoy the new episode of our DHAthens Exclusive Mix Series!

For our next episode, we are delighted to host the super talented and rising duo, Mundos Sutis. 

The duo was formed in Berlin, Germany and, shortly after, signed to Pablo Bolívar's label Seven Villas Music. Their music productions and DJ sets range from deep house and atmospheric, melodic techno to progressive. With several upcoming releases lined up, Mundos Sutis are known as creators of deep and immersive  sound experiences seamlessly taking people into a remarkable journey through timelessness. They have already appeared on Ibiza Sonica Radio, Pure Ibiza Radio and Deeper Sounds while more interesting appearances are on the way.

Mundos Sutis beautifully crafted for us a one hour deep and melodic mix of house and techno tunes. Expect an awesome music selection and a stunning flow that starts calm and dreamy but move upwards to a more energetic vibe. The mix includes two original tracks of them, "Round Colours" and "Reinvent", to be released on Seven Villas Music.
