ABSF has never been about a style, but a unique vibe to lift a crowd and make you feel and move.  

The crew formed in 2002 and have been friends for more than two decades. 

Long before that, they started out as young ravers obsessed by the futuristic sounds of rave, hardcore, garage, jungle and drum & bass, all of which fuelled their passion to DJ, and persistence to grind away and push the sounds of the underground to the Sydney masses.

Airbourne is synonymous with pushing a diverse sound of drum & bass to the Harbour City’s dance floors with their rolling drums and bouncy bass lines. Whether it be feel-good, or get down and dirty style, they have a soundtrack for every occasion. Enticing crowds with their unpredictable musical selection, you never know what to expect, but know it will be good vibes a plenty.

DJ’s A.L.F. (RIP), munk, LUCIAN, Ed Gee, Vice Versa and GUY have been mainstays of the Sydney scene from the clubs, music production, Rollers Music on 2SER Radio and heavily active on SoundCloud with mixes, they are always pushing their own unique style of drum & bass with no fixed subgenre or era.

I Started getting into jungle and hardcore at the early age of 15 (1998). I went to a lot of Happy Hardcore/Jungle parties in WA and listening to old dreamscape mixtapes. I was going to raves like Sonik 98, EMAS, Prophecy, Abduction, etc. I started to get into it as much as I could. I started sneaking into clubs with raving buddies and going to clubs like: Gravity and DC’s. Playing with fruityloops after going out and playing around on my roommates decks an interest for creating and playing these styles came about. 

I started taking production more seriously and started learning the tools and DJing wise started buying up records and got my own set of decks. I started DJing and promoting parties about around 2005.

I got my first piece of hardware (an MPC 2000 XL) about 2 years ago via eBay and I now have the hardware bug. 

Recently I have been recording local hip hop artists and started dabling in live broadcasts on the internet.

In the future I would like to work with some more vocalists, street poets and producers. I also would like to learn more instruments and create a live performance.

Korax, Michael Larkin, started his journey into the world of electronic music during his high school years, where he first experimented with creating beats on his PS2. It wasn't until a friend introduced him to the mesmerizing sounds of Photek that his passion for Drum and Bass ignited. During his college days, he found kindred spirits who shared his love for electronic music, and it was here that he discovered the thrill of DJing. As he delved deeper into music production, Michael quietly shared his creations on SoundCloud, honing his skills and refining his signature sound. His breakthrough came when ILL Omen stumbled upon his music on Instagram and featured it on his Bassdrive.com show, 'River City Rinse Out.' This exposure marked the beginning of Michael's professional musical journey, and he's been pushing hard ever since. Michael's tracks captivate listeners with their gnarled basslines, aggressive synths, and crisp drum patterns, showcasing his unique style. With more exciting releases on the horizon, Korax is an artist to keep an eye on in the Drum & Bass Scene.
