Well I almost scrapped this song but after 3 weeks writing words, and then realizing how fun it is to sing, i kept it. I'm trying to figure out how to add a little lightheartedness to my music, but i think this one just turned out creepy lol. NOTE:  I always felt a little uncomfortable with the words, i just really didn't like them, so I reworked the chorus and a few other lines, and rerecorded the vocals. It seems a little better now...

Hammer Hands

tragedies repeat throughout history it seems because people lose site of history, lost in pursuing temporary comforts . We have to remember history, not distort it or whitewash it an learn from it if we ever hope to stop the next self made disaster.

today he came back from the hunt to his thriving village
his children playing all around his fires warm his spirit calm

Tomorrow all the herds are gone, slaughtered by the whites who've come
his village burned, his wife is gone, his children taken far away
a wave of hate s[plashd over him and took away all he knew
no one recalls how or why

we walk on thin ice every day
civility is fleeting
a mirage that hides the dark heart that is inside us beating
we must be on our guard always
to beat it down and keep it caged
or we find we all will fall through the ice someday
and no-one recalls how or why

today he went to work and read the paper on the train
his wife at home, his kids in school, his friends gather later to laugh and dine
Tomorrow he will have no trade
the brown shirts came and took away
his job,hishouse,hisdignity
they'll put a star upon his chest, soon he'll be dead like all the rest
no-one recalls how or why

We walk on thin ice.......

today he went to the factory to work hard with his friends all day
to bring home his pay to buy his family things they want and need
his house is warm, his pantry full, whatever could go wrong

tomorrow he finds the factory closed, shutting down for good,
the owners found a way to save a dime on every part he made
the work is gone his hope is lost
leaving him no way to live his life the way he wants
the owners do not know the cost, but now they can each afford
a new mercedes
no one recalls how or why

This instrumental was created in the Spirit of the winter holidays. We tried to "capture" the "essences of the seasons..." from the cosmic wonder like shooting stars dancing across the night skies... to things we felt in the great outdoors from previous travels in Europe at various Kristkindle Markets, sipping a warm mug of gluhwein and warm freshly roasted chestnuts, as well as some of the overwhelming choices... the "game" of choosing a meaningful gift for the special folks in our lives from amongst the lovely assortment of crafts available at these delightful town center markets. We hope if you've never been, you get the opportunity to go to Europe to enjoy the "holiday magic..." on a scale we'd not experienced before... nor since that "exploration!" Until then, we hope this brings a little holiday cheer your way, perhaps close your eyes and picture yourselves amongst the delightful holiday smells and scenes to uplift your Spirit!

Again, we caution listeners to not drive or operate machinery while listening to our music done in a HZ unlike what most radio stations play... and to listen through headphones at a lower volume than you normally listen to most of your music, for optimum effect. Enjoy!

In Mexico, I played with bands like "Batallón de San Patricio", "Atrás del Cosmos", "Queso Sagrado", "Syntoma", " Broken Heart", "Decibel", "Bardo Thodol", "Kathmandu Ensemble". In New York City I played with Bands like, "King"s East", "In The Service Of", "Fist of Facts", "Desire", "Dense Undergrowth"," "Matahari", "Like Wow", "Devil's Breakfast", "Muse Mob", "Atlantis 3000", "Monster", "Zenith", "Andromeda Crash" "Night Shade", I also collaborated with Hector Zazou, Harold Budd, Elliott Levin, Dennis Charles, and many others. For many years I also wrote Jingles for a lot of products like Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Mc Donalds, Toyota, Kodak, Payless Shoes, Rothman's, Salsa Tabasco, JC Penny, Liberty Science Center, American Heart Association, MCI, Reebok, AT&T, Fanta, Play Movil, etc, I also made music for Viacom writing music for cartoon networks, Bravo TV, Chanel 1, and MTV.
