Mixing Timeline Oct '24 onwards

Standing on Berghain floor, Monday morning 11 am during their 20-year anniversary closing, tiredly dancing and smiling, looking around at happy yet exhausted faces of those who made it this far. Flowers scattered across the dance floor, handed out by the staff. Dancing with my friends, thinking of those who had already left the party and how happy I am to be living in a city full of quality music, I decided was time: I really wanted to record my first set now.
Inspired by the amazing music I experienced over the weekend, I wanted to put exactly that energy into my very first recording, which you can hear here. 
For me this set is more like a flow than a story. The opening track sets the tone for the middle part, followed by a slow but fine build-up of what I consider as quality tracks full of grooves and good moods. 
I close with the same track as Ryan Elliott and Ogazón did after their 8hr b2b ride at Panorama Bar this March, which was the first 2024 Klubnacht for me and marked the start of getting even deeper into music. 
At some parts I wish I could mix even smoother but still for now I’m very happy with this set.

Put this together spontaneously for a friend’s birthday and played it there. Loved it because I finally got to play two tracks I’ve been wanting to play since one of my first digging sessions in early November last year. It’s an early evening opening set. People having drinks on a Friday, winding down from the week, and slowly easing into the night and the weekend. Plus, I was experimenting with some new records I didn’t know too well yet. I’m a bit sad about the transition from the third-to-last to second-to-last track but this wasn’t actually meant to be posted, and I was experimenting. After listening, I really enjoyed the vibe of the set and had a good time recording it, so I thought that’s way more important than one messed-up transition. Always learning to let go of perfectionism. Hope you enjoy <3
