For its last release of 2023, When We Dip XYZ is proud to present a three track remix pack of Motip White’s ‘Clean the Turbines’ EP. 

Kicking things off is Atish, chopping and pitching Motip White’s vocal from ‘What Do You Want Me to Say.’ The Manjumasi label-boss complements the track with a rolling bassline, glitches hitting left, right, and centre, and the gritty bass fills from the original. 
 
Also taking on ‘What Do You Want Me to Say,’ Gespona & Djolee craft huge percussion rolls and manipulate White’s layers and textures. The two artists, who have just launched their own label ‘Rummel,’ leave room for the memorable hook halfway through, which then recedes in favour of the heavy drums. 

Third up is Meera with her take on ‘Clean the Turbines.’ Faithful to her style, which has recently been showcased on VOD and Crosstown Rebels, she opposes a subby kick with a tempest of hats & shakers, harmonically guided by a light piano. The Norwegian producer keeps on building the energy, surprisingly introducing her own vocals and an acid layer on the arp as the tune unfolds.

On the heels of embarking on their new live tour ( https://whomadewho.dk/livetour ), Danish band WhoMadeWho shares their new single, “Children,” out on their newly-founded imprint, The Moment. The track, infused with the angelic timbres of the famed Danish children's choir Vesterbros Ungdomsgård, weaves seamlessly into WhoMadeWho's tapestry of sound, following their early September collaboration with Swiss duo Adriatique, “Miracle,” which was subsequently adorned with a glorious remix by RÜFÜS DU SOL. "Children" not only resonates as the second single from their highly-anticipated 9th studio album, slated for a 2024 release but also marks a pivotal moment in their ever-evolving saga.

Drawing inspiration from the nostalgic grooves of early ‘80s new wave and the psychedelic twirls of early ‘90s acid, “Children” is a confluence of rough-hewn bass, primitive drum machines, an ethereal children’s choir, and lush synth pads. 

“Children” is WhoMadeWho’s ode to their global legion of fans and the pulsating heart of the international dance scene. The track is an auditory canvas depicting kids dancing, reveling under the cosmic dance of sunlight and moonbeams. It probes into the collective psyche, questioning their origins, their identities, and the dreams that fuel their revelry. “Childen” is their anthem, an embodiment of the band’s heartfelt message to their fans: “Thank you, we love you, without you there’s no WhoMadeWho!”
