Inspired by the launch of "Still Testing" the rocket that launched New Zealand into space on  January the 21st, 2018.

As kiwis we were excited to hear another kiwi accent doing the legendary countdown, and listened with awe as the rocket moved faster and faster towards delivering it's final "payload".

The payload delivered into space was the "Humanity Star" a bright, blinking satellite now orbiting Earth, visible to the naked eye in the night sky. The Humanity Star is designed to encourage everyone to look up and consider our place in the universe. 

Welcome to space New Zealand (not just sheep and hobbits - though we love them).

Carolyn Baron is an American songwriter, lyricist, publisher, and artist rep, living in Florence, Italy. She writes in various styles and genres, including, pop, rock, singer/songwriter, hip hop, r&b, electronic, singer/songwriter, blues, and jazz.

She is the founder and managing director of Soda Box Music LLC, a boutique music agency spearheaded by Carolyn and multi-Grammy & #1 Billboard charting record producer Ron Thaler. Soda Box works with a talented and diversified group of artists, writers, and producers from around the globe.  

Her songs have won various awards, been placed in numerous films and television shows, and have been included on many artists CDs and compilations.

She contributed lyrics to the Drycastle Records 2006 release "Bozorius" which won the LA Music Award that year for best CD in the "New Jazz" category.

Currently she is currently collaborating with vocalist/songwriter Danielle "DeeDee" Crudup on a number of very interesting projects.

Over the past 8 years, she has also been working closely with American hip hop artists "Nitebreed", and "PLXDABOSS", and has also co-written many songs with Earl.C.Webb and John Jackson from the UK, and Mark Bos (BosBeats) in Canada.

Carolyn co-wrote Bernardo Baglioni's highly acclaimed solo CD "Fine Line". Bernardo is the guitarist in the Italian singer Noemi's band. 

Expect some hot new material from her and her collaborators in 2016!
