Doug first started listening too Electronic music at the of age 9 and hasn't turned back. His passion & appreciation of all types of music is sometimes lost on others. With a total sense of humour he likes to play with the dance floor.

The Doctor based in Victoria BC Canada, has mainly played parties and clubs in British Columbia, Canada, however he has been fortunate enough to play in such cities as London England, Nagasaki Japan, and even the most southern city in the world, Ushuaia Argentina.

After being inspired by the countless local events featuring local and international DJ's, Matterson decided to take up the craft himself. Starting with the electro craze of the late '00 era, he first played parties for Sonica Late Nights and Westcoast Funktions where he learned much about the craft. As time moved forward, he started contributing to local burn community events, growing into a more mature house sound in the process. Today he is one of the founding members of the Jellyfish Crew, providing quality events on Vancouver Island.  Funky, Deep and Tech areas of House showcase his ever increasing development.

The night that Neo fell in love with speed garage with its pounding shuffly beats and warping and dirty basslines was a night back in 1998 when he witnessed Dave Armstrong and Norrie Taylor (Prime & Seven) play a tag set, totally destroying the dancefloor with basslines. He knew at that moment that he wanted to be a part of the scene on the other side of the turntables, packing dancefloors, interacting and hyping up the crowd into a frenzy. Intrigued by this original 'new' sound, Neo and a couple of friends decided to get a pair of old turntables and a 2 ch. mixer with no eq. and started playing around with a few different genres including speed garage, house, breaks, hip-hop, hardhouse and trance.
Most of Neo's first gigs were playing up and down Vancouver Island at raves, house parties and nightclubs such as Hush, Sweetwaters and The Press Room to name a few. Through his career Neo has found himself dj'ing as far as clubs in Colorado and Las Vegas, Full Moon parties in Thailand and jungle parties in Cambodia.

For several years (00-03) he was throwing renegade parties and the occasional club night under the names Vintage Prod. and DavisHouse Prod. 
Since his premier release "Destination EP" debuted on Atomic Zoo Recordings (Calgary) in 2010 Neo has worked with several other labels including Backzide Records (San Francisco), Bass Hound Records (Seattle), Breakz R Boss (Calgary) and Bass Bong Records (Vancouver). Currently he is working on several projects for D-Blok Studios (Duncan, BC.), Atomic Zoo, Bass Bong and most recently Urban Sprawl Records (Sheffield, UK). Not only does Neo specialize in deep rollin' n warpin' basslines, he is also fond to breaks, garage, 2-step, 4x4, bassline house and jackin' house. He also produces under the aliases of 'Totally' and 'Funk'n Ruff' with fellow Canadian bad bwoy Brent 'd-Set' Kral. Together they produce speed garage, bassline house and bassline breaks.

Now with over 23 years of bassline knowledge behind him, come out and witness Neo with his extreme energy and stage presence animating dancefloors all across the Western Continent! He'll be sure to make you move your body all night long to his bass heavy sets tuned to the funky sounds of jackin house, 2-step, breaks and garage and the dirty whompy bassline driven beats of speed garage, bassline and 4x4 !

Xavier's passion and dedication towards his artistry as a DJ is undeniable. For over two decades, his infectious energy and sincere authentic love for music have driven him forward as an artist. Throughout his twenties, Xavier’s focus was purely Breakbeats; nothing could pull his attention. As he moved through the decade, his tastes shifted, and eventually, the magnetism of House music could no longer be ignored. Once cemented in the confidence of his newfound love for House, everything came into focus and his purpose became clear.

From his countless nights early on, sharing the stage at Hush Nightclub - a queer-forward, underground safe-haven, with top-shelf electronic acts such as Alex Metric, Stanton Warriors, or Nora En Pure; to travelling deep into the BC backcountry on a Saturday night to perform - sometimes for only a handful of ravers; to dragging a 50 pound bag of vinyl up a fight of stairs in the suburbs; to playing sold-out shows, opening for artists like Chris Lake, AC Slater, or Justin Martin, it didn't matter to Xavier, because it meant that he could share his love for the music. Wherever he was: outdoors, indoors, a club, a basement, a farmhouse, a garage, a warehouse; people were there to listen, and he was there to play.

Xavier's ultimate goal is to share the music that resonates with him on a deeper level, hoping that it will also ignite a fire in the souls of his listeners. Music has a way of evoking powerful emotions and connecting people on a profound level. Having recently rediscovered that internal fire of focus & passion within himself, Xavier is relentless in the pursuit of a musical experience that not only entertains but leaves a lasting impact on those who are there to listen.
