About this journey:
For me, all form of art is an expression of something you have inside, today what I have is a deeply need to ask for empathy, our individualism is taking us apart, is the weapon that the ones who win with the programmed misery of our society needs to keep cultivating evil.
We have the obligation to develop more sensitivity, big changes are coming, from us depends how it will become.

Welcome along to this weeks show and what a show it was.

First up is Paul Curran our newest addition to the Disco Waltons. Paul had been a long time supporter of all of our members and it seemed only right to have him to officially join our community. Paul has been an integral part of promoting our shows and always joining in with chats to show his support. With this in mind he was added to our production team here at DWSS.

Apart from being a great bloke Paul is a fantastic DJ from Ireland. His mixes are upbeat & joyful with a mix of new & old disco & house. We're absolutely honoured to have Paul host his first show as a DW ❤️

Tonight Paul be warming up for fantastic DJ Jennyloco from San Francisco. Jenny was first introduced to us by our friends & fellow DWs over at Spin City
 
Jennyloco has been a DJ since the late 90s. She started her sets at Colombian music at festivals in the early 2000's and switched her focus to electronic music in 2016. In 2019, she began her involvement in the digital scene, showcasing her carefully crafted and highly eclectic DJ sets. We can't wait to have her on the show & see what she has for us.

(Story continued from Witchtape #61)
After a non-stop flight of 2 days and 1 night, the little witch was enjoying a very welcome shower under the waterfall at the foot of the mountain.  She started to shiver from the ice-cold melting water from the glaciers of Mount Hermon, while at the same time feeling purified by the crystal clear water which was slowly on its way southwards to the lowest place on planet earth… the Dead Sea.  A few minutes later, the little witch of the North was joined by a young teenage witch from the desert in the East and a 6000-year old witch from the Mediterranean shore on the West.  Soon they let themselves float in the river while holding each other in a tender embrace with their legs intertwining.  Despite the freezing cold water, the little witch soon warmed up by the close contact with the two other women.  Her body even started to glow as she felt the youthful energy of the desert witch enter through her skin, where it merged with the immense wisdom of the elder witch.  They floated gently on the water for a few minutes, before sinking deeper and deeper (of course witches can breathe under water).  The water became darker, and after a while the three witches got sucked into a cave, where the water was really murky.  Despite these inhospitable surroundings, the girl felt safe in the company of her two sisters witch, while they got swept away by the strong currents through the dark cave.  The little witch lost all notion of space and time in this dark abyss, only making sure not to lose her grip on her two companions.  Until finally, after what felt like an eternity, the current seemed to slow down while the water looked less murky.  A little later the water became even very clear, with a pleasant aquamarine color.  Gradually, underwater life came back and soon the 3 witches were in the middle of colorful little fish and lush green water plants.  The 3 women relaxed and loosened their grip on each other and started a spontaneous underwater ballet in the middle of this mesmerizing silent world.  It was so pleasant at the bottom of the lake, that the 3 witches were not the least bit in a hurry to get to the surface, which only happened quite a while later.  After resurfacing, the European girl was surprised to find herself in the middle of a vast lake, surrounded by majestic mountains.  The little witch looked to the North and recognized Mount Hermon far away in the distance, and she realized they must have travelled a vast distance through that endless dark cave.  The 3 witches swam to the shore where – to their great surprise – they found back their clothes which they had left behind at the foot of Mount Hermon.  Not that they were in a hurry to put their white dresses back on … they preferred to lie down in the grass and savor the wholesome energy of this holy lake, while their hair was drying in the soft sunlight (it was close to sunset).  The 3 women snuggled together while the little witch was wondering what would come next…

As summer is slowly starting up we’re happy to provide you with a foretaste of a sensationally cool summer drink: Oceanvs Orientalis’ Summer Reign is perfectly crafted with only the freshest summer jams.  

Founded by Safak Oz Kutle, Oceanvs Orientalis is a formation which aims to challenge the aesthetic perception in electronic music.

A few years back, the Turkey born producer was not even in electronic music. Working as a graphic designer in Istanbul, he was using his housemate’s copy of Ableton to make symphonic tracks influenced by his love of world and classical music. The turning point came when he put a kick-drum beneath his productions. Since 2011 he performs as DJ and live act. 

And he recently founded his own label, Kanto Records, which he describes as an art collective without restrictions of a run-of-the-mill label companies.

Oceanvs Orientalis, tunes are not in a hurry. So aren’t we on a hot summer day. And so aren’t we sipping on this delicious Summer Reign! Bartender, we’re having another round!

Using Madamy as an alias, the Brazilian performer, cultural producer and DJ Yuri Rocha carries his own different version of reality, sit side by side in higher dimensions with his carbon copies out there. Madamy is a multiverse. With his wary 25 years, Yuri is also an executive producer and resident DJ of the collective Limbo, in the Brazilian federal capital. Transits multifunctional in the dark, naughty and queer sounds, whether with techno, downtempo, house, electro or darkdisco — Madamy' selection aims to occupy spaces and ensure existence based on resistance and activism while nonstop.

This 176th edition with its 65-min did not skimp effort to be an immersive storytelling, Madamy definitely shows off a versatile and devilishly fun approach/style. There's tenseness bubbling up, guitar-heavy sounds, gloomy electronics, chugging grooves and lascivious look-on-its-face narratives. Hovering throughout the mixtape the sacred triad of dark, naughty and queer in order to draw a faithful picture of his sonic experiences.
