Greg Cordo, a.k.a. Bassarid, is a Charlotte, NC based DJ known for taking his audience on a journey through tribal house, funky minimal, deep tech, and hypnotic downtempo grooves. His sound also draws influence from dnb, jazz, bass, hip hop, disco, jungle, dub, ambient, psychedelic and world music. His multi-genre sets seamlessly weave these complementary, and sometimes contradictory elements into a unique, handcrafted story finely-tuned to fit the setting at hand.

Originally from Boston, he first began running music and lights for private parties in 2009. After moving down to the Queen City in 2012, he was adopted by a group of old school ravers, burners, and DJs who plugged him into the local music scene. Hooked on the underground sound, Greg soon found himself behind the decks at regional events. He has since played clubs, burns, and festival stages from Michigan to Miami, and he throws parties with the ChEM Lab crew in Charlotte.

25 Years doing this and I'm NEVER going to stop.  Drum and Bass is LIFE. Jungle Music is LIFE.  This music IS MY LIFE =)

I'm a DJ from Ft Myers, who specializes in bass music of all genres, but drum and bass is my favorite. I am the resident and host of Mixtape: The Party in Ft.Myers, the longest-running edm/bass music night in the area. CB₁ first stood behind tables in 1994. Born in Minnesota, but raised in North Carolina, CB₁ cut his teeth as a small town junglist in the underground Carolina dance scene during the mid to late 90’s. After a short hiatus from DJing, he spent over a decade in Washington, DC where he became a member of the Tribalistix Crew. CB₁ now resides in the greater Denver Metro area and is a resident DJ for Drum and Bass Proper and UKG Proper where he hosts a monthly UK Garage night in the lounge of the iconic Black Box, Denver. While still firmly rooted in Jungle, CB₁ has been known to spin all forms of bass heavy broken beats from dark minimal rollers, ragga jungle to techstep/neurofunk, intelligent jazzy DnB, UKG, and liquid.
