I've played guitar most of my life, but I wasn't serious about it during much of the 2000s. Then in 2017, I got the bug again in a serious way, mostly thanks to Rodrigo y Gabriela. I had been listening to them for years, and I really can't say what happened in 2017 -- but I just got loco for Rod y Gab, and it inspired me to get my chops back and keep it up. I've worked on playing many of their songs. Here's my attempt at Diablo Rojo, where I played both parts. You'll pardon me for playing this about 20% slower than they do!

I wrote this original piece as an exercise to write something in the style of Los Straightjackets, whose work I admire. For the recording, I played several guitar tracks, a bass track, and used a canned drummer.
