Guess what? Yet another song that started as a shitpost. This one dates back to around May 2021, I posted a clip called “cirno whatsapp” on Loudness Refuge, consisting of the first 8 bars of the drop into another drop, but with really shitty Tearout basses. I had a laugh and forgot about it, until a couple of months ago, when I was compiling songs for my 2022 Showcase. I extended the original clip from 8 to 32 bars, and because I had lots of fun doing that and people seemed to like it, I ended up making it into a full thing. Genres like these allow you to put so much cool harmony while still being aggressive and high energy. That blend of musicality and heaviness is my main goal with music as a whole, and I hope I can keep improving on it and pushing it forward.

This song would not exist without the music of Jayster (@jaystermusic) Tony Thai (@midiman10), Inverted Silence (@invertedsilence) and Mameyudoufu (@mameyudoufu). You can consider this song a kinda weird love letter to all four of them. Special thanks to Inverted Silence for all his help and for being a good lad in general.

UK Garage is hot again, isn't it? for the past 3 years or so there's been this explosion of bringing the 2-step sound back, and it's now all over the place now. That's cool and all, but you know what it's missing: dubstep. lol

A bunch of months ago I had this idea in my head that it would be cool to have some kind of four on the floor tune with garage-y rhythm, but with tearout sound design. I didn't see anybody doing that so I had to do it to em.
This combination is already a bit off kilter anyway so I decided to keep it simple and not go too extreme on the sparkly harmony bullshit. This is a Proper dance chune fr.

Short piece inspired by a kinetic sculpture at the MIT Museum. Also inspired by "The Knight Bus" soundtrack in The Prisoner of Askaban, and, unfortunately, me trying to see how many quotes for Stravinsky I can write in one piece.

Broken Suite for Keyboards is an experiment in a variety of techniques for repetition from aleatory and tone-rows to fugues. Each movement starts with a tonal exposition, but quickly transforms into separate section that explores different styles, sets of notes, and tempos. The first movement, for organ, explores chromaticism, and more specifically, how pitches a semi-tone apart played by the organ interact. The short second movement explores different modes and utilizes the fantastical sounds of arpeggiated celeste. The longer third movement, for piano, inspired by the music of Messiaen, explores the repetition of motifs and note sets. The minimalist fourth movement, for harpsichord, draws inspiration from Bach. The fifth movement combines the four instruments – and the four musicians use stopwatches in order to correctly change the group of notes being played. In the entire piece, the chords of E minor, A♭major, F# minor, and B♭major (in that order), recur, mostly at the conclusion of each movement, and complete, in the bigger pictures, the final tone-row of the piece:
