Yemanjo’s sound is a unique fusion of downtempo and organic house beats with traditional sounds from Latin America, Africa and the Middle East. The previous five years have seen Yemanjo touring the world while releasing prolifically with top labels in the genre such as Cosmic Awakenings and Cafe de Anatolia, and a full-length album for Wonderwheel Recordings dropped on May 10, 2024.

In performance, Yemanjo combines his original music with live singing in many languages, trumpet, percussion and other instruments in an electro-acoustic live set. Also providing hybrid DJ sets with live instrumentation, Yemanjo brings a refreshing sonic diversity and decades of experience as a dynamic live performer and frontman.

The Lyric Feature is RTÉ lyric fm's weekly documentary and music feature programme. Programmes are produced in house by Lyric fm staff or in collaboration with independent production companies. Subject matter varies from week to week but most of the programmes aim to provide insight into music and music making. 

After being a DJ for over two decades, Lauren Sovereign shares a different side of herself in releasing her original folk music, sweetened by her Southern roots. With her first single “Seasons of My Life,” she unveils her psychedelic Southern folk signature sound, recorded in 432hz.

Lauren Sovereign shares heartfelt stories from her journey. From the shadows of human psyche, she names distortions of the human experience, transmuting, entraining, healing and soothing into greater understanding, integration, acceptance and freedom. 

Each song begins as a testimony and evolves into an epiphany, guiding the listener to another place, resolving grief, embodying trust in all that is.

As a DJ, she deftly weaves electro folkloric rhythms from across the globe in a journey affirming our connection and belonging.
