Born and raised in East London, Anthony James has developed his sound with influences from the gritty city and the percussive and soulful world music introduced to him through his culturally diverse heritage. Learning to play music from the age of 7, producing since 16 and DJing since 18 has led him to play a mix of Afro House & Afro Tech adorned with hints of Deep, Soulful, Latin and Tech house.

His productions are built around dramatic ambient soundscapes, discerning arpeggiated synths, emotive piano chords & riffs and distinct percussion from around the world. His passion as a classically trained pianist and a fascination with fine art and psychology fuel intricate and intentionally experimental compositions.

Anthony's DJ Career started around 2013 with sets in Shoreditch, not far from where he grew up, to Brixton when he re-located to the heart of South London. Exploring his love for deep house, he went on to play at venues such as Studio338, Egg Ldn, Tape (Members), The Steelyard, Ministry of Sound and overseas in Spain, Netherlands and Greece. His residencies in Londons nightlife circuit and around Mayfair gave him the opportunity to further diversify his musical palate at venues such as Tape, MNKY HSE, Aqua, W Hotel, Raffles and many more.

in 2020, he delved into the world of radio broadcasting, joining the Select Radio team. His weekly show, Audiotherapy, has garnered support from some of the biggest names across the Afro House & Electronic Music scene - such as Themba, Kasango, Atmos Blaq, Enoo Napa, Aluku Rebels, John Summit and Karyendasoul. a behind-the-scenes view implies that there are plenty of big things on the horizon for the 29-year-old.

David & Charlie Low make up Platinum Breaks, a rising duo of producers. This uncle & nephew pairing have had a soft spot for jungle and drum & bass from an early age, and are breaking through into the scene with an original sound that is all their own.

The London-based pairing released their debut single 'Everything (feat. Eden)’ in March 2021 on DNBAllstars which was backed by remixes from none other than Bladerunner. This vocal-led banger saw plentiful support from the likes of Rene La Vice, Mickey Finn, Harriet Jaxxon and power-trio Kings of The Rollers. Their second release ‘Changes’ is set to drop on Soulvent Records on the 13th of August this year and features the formidable vocals of Hackney singer-songwriter Joe Killington, who’s better known for his work with Almand Van Helden, Purple Disco Machine and Austrian whizz-kids Camo & Krooked.

 2021 is set to be a huge year for the duo who’ve grafted all year through the Covid-19 pandemic. They’ve built up a hefty catalogue of diverse music which they’re ready to unleash on festivals and dancefloors alike, so watch this space.

The song had 6 consecutive weekly plays on BBC Radio 1 by the likes of Annie Mac, Mistajam and René LaVice.

2022 is to be a huge year for the Platinum Boys having grafted all year to build an insane catalogue of music their is no doubt there will be amazing things to come from the pair.
