A match made in groove heaven, both acts have long-since established a pedigree for timeless tracks. Complementing each other’s sonic sentiments like well-tailored suits, the three men initially collided in a Barcelona studio late last year. They enjoyed such a creative spree there’s a wealth of material about to come our way. And it starts here with these three seismic slabs of deep, rolling gold. Press play…

“Uniformal Processing” purrs with dub science. Once we’ve acquainted ourselves with the rolling techy drum dynamic, we’re introduced to an array of elements… A harrowed, heavily-processed vocal sample, eerie subtle synth textures and a bassline so rich in warmth and weight it initiates an organic swing that hypnotise any dancefloor within a five mile radius.

The theme of hypnosis is maintained throughout “9th Configuration”. Deeper, darker and more dramatic than the title track, it’s built on a bedrock of silky, slinky, detailed percussion and progressively builds by way of a dominant riser and sincere sub bass penetration. Through the darkness a shimmering arpeggio takes hold. Rippling and wriggling amid the elements it’s a quintessential balance of shades that twists, turns and teases throughout the eight minute adventure.

Last but definitely not least we hit “Something Happier”. Living up to its name, it departs from the heavier tech flavour of the previous two tracks and shuffles with a groovier, bass-led swing and a more uplifting set of synth colours. The drums gradually build with percussive clarity before we’re dropped into a blissfully light synth refrain which triggers an even funkier bassline twist and more infectious, hip-shaking rhythmic elements.

It seems as if 15 years have quickly flown by since we first opened our doors at the base of the famous Oberbaumbrücke joining Berlin’s Kreuzberg and Friedrichshain districts. With countless long nights into majestic mornings and open airs in our beloved city to showcases spanning the globe, Watergate has grown to include a booking agency and a record label pushing the sounds of our mainstay artists and some of the most revered acts in the scene. To celebrate our journey over the last decade and a half we have put together a special anniversary release of 25 new, exclusive and formerly unreleased tracks to be released as a 2x CD set with our traditional Watergate artwork as well as a special collector's edition box set as a 5x vinyl, 2x CD package including a commemorative art print, two free entries to the club itself and the very special photo book ‘Sound Travels’ by Linus Dessecker which features photos and interviews of artists that played at Watergate when they arrived or left Berlin, all wrapped up in a sleek minimalistic package entitled “WATERGATE XV”.

Encompassing music from club residents like Matthias Meyer, Jimi Jules, Marco Resmann, La Fleur, Tiefschwarz, Floyd Lavine, Lee Jones, Adana Twins, Sebo K, Hyenah and Cinthie and new comers Gorje Hewek & Izhevski, Gumz and Ryan Davis to friends and cohorts who have close ties to the club such as Butch, Henrik Schwarz, Ellen Allien, Alex Niggemann, Catz n’ Dogz, Steve Bug, Osunlade, Solomun, Rodriguez Jr., Oliver Koletzki, Anja Schneider, Mathias Kaden and Kollektiv Turmstrasse, WATERGATE XV comprises of a plethora of sounds you have come to anticipate from our home along the Spree. We think this body of music perfectly captures our essence, whether it’s under our famous LED’s, on the waterfloor watching the sun rise or at any of our showcases and open airs the world over. We hope it can spark a memory in your mind to a moment we shared over the last 15 years. The remixes of Nick Curly's album "Between the lines" taking the step to the next level with the second part of the series. No other than the New Yorker house legend Dennis Ferrer showed his skills on Nick Curly's "Underground" track. Great fancy vibe with his special NY touch. On AA Nico and Christian from Kollektiv Turmstrasse worked on "Between" and spent a beautiful emotional remix, one more masterpiece of the guys from north germany. Dark massive bass and crazy ghostly echo developing strings describes the great remix of "Inside my head" by Glimpse. On BB we got some Mannheim support, from the great newcomer "Bunte Bummler" and Nick Curly's brother "Steffen Deux". Straight groovy bassline monster with the special touch of the new blood of Mannheim...hope you enjoy
