International Anthem is a Chicago-born recording company that produces and promotes progressive media.

Founded by curators from the Uncanned Music family, the IARC label was established to be a productive and distributive outlet for the group’s original music programming.

The mission of International Anthem is to make positive contributions to the changing state of the music industry, and to vitalize the demand for boundary-defying music by presenting unique sounds in appealing packages to untapped audiences.

Alastair Douglas is singer, songwriter and guitarist currently living in Cork, Ireland. His musical journey began the first time he heard Bob Marley’s album Exodus. He formed his first band with school friends, and they played their first show when he was 17. After that he collaborated with a wide range of musicians in his home town of Cape Town, South Africa, and soaked up all the live original music that he felt drawn to – catching jazz great Abdullah Ibrahim whenever possible. Douglas’ electric guitar playing features on a number of different releases which all share an independent, original sound. His first solo project, Carry Me, (https://7steps1.bandcamp.com/releases) released under the name 7steps in 2017, introduced his poetic voice and soulful songs to the world. After leaving South Africa, Douglas embraced a mellower sound, swapping his electric for a classical guitar. He began to delve into classical music and flamenco, and these genres have shaped the sound of his latest release – a solo album called The Open Sky. The ten songs on the album, with their accomplished guitar work and heartfelt singing bring to mind the world-music feel of Lhasa de Sala and the sensitivity of Ben Harper.

Previously known as Dropsonic, The Recoil were a British band from Brighton England. 
Playing flawless performances The Recoil stirred much attention from A&R,  record labels and  management, and with the help of  Mark Hobrough(manager) and Sat Bisla (A&R WORLDWIDE) produced by the platinum selling Steve Hillier (Keane, Dubstar, Trentemoller, flosstradamus) they played packed out industry showcases in London, New York and Los Angeles and subsequently  signed a worldwide deal with Rightbank Music in the U.S.
The Recoil featured Pete Harwood  (NEW STATE MASSES ) on (vocal, Keys,Guitar) Ian Walker Guitar/words) Chi Lee (drums) Chris Woolner (bass) other members were Matthew Parisi (New State Masses) on bass and Ali Gavan (Sparrow) on bass/second/Guitar and finally Jo Taylor ex Easyworld on bass.
unfortunately The Recoil split in 2011 and  sadly that was where the story ended until now! these are the agreed (demo) recordings of what were to be the  final album tracks to featureon the debut album titled Come on over and bonus track the demo of a crowd favourite  track (less of me) finally for the first time its for you all to hear.
