Chris, originally from Sundance, Alberta, has cherished a deep love for music for as long as he can remember. His journey likely began at the age of three, listening to Elvis Presley records with his father. In 1994, he first explored DJing with a mixer and two turntables, which led to a lifelong passion for blending genres like breakbeat, house, rap, jungle, drum and bass, rock, funk, and even hardcore gabber. Over the years, his sets have resonated with audiences across Western Canada and Asia, creating moments of connection and joy through music.

From 2000 to 2003, Chris made his mark in South Korea, holding residencies at iconic venues such as Vinyl Underground (Busan), Myongwolgwan (Seoul), and NBIMB (Busan). In 2003, he relocated to Taiwan, becoming a fixture in the local music scene and performing at renowned spots including Luxy (Taipei), Liquid Lounge (Taichung), Sound Garden (Taichung), as well as outdoor festivals on Da Shan Mountain and TongXiao Beach.

In 2005, Chris returned to Canada, setting up base in Vancouver, where he became a regular performer at local venues. His international career continued to flourish, and in 2008, he embarked on a three-country tour, playing at venues like Liquid Lounge (Taiwan), Juice Bar (Philippines), Astica Lounge (Philippines), Dolce Superclub (Philippines), Club VIA (South Korea), and Vinyl Underground (South Korea).

In 2019, Chris returned to the Philippines and played an 8-hour sunset beach session at Aplaya Beach Bar on Boracay Island. His set featured a mix of downtempo, breakbeat, drum and bass, and house, complementing the relaxed atmosphere of the island.

Now back in the Sundance area, Chris is reconnecting with his roots and is eager to share his unique sound with new audiences. Stay tuned for more from "The Sundance Kid" as his musical journey continues to evolve.

Marking his debut release on Undertone Records (DC) [UT018], Carlos crafted a hypnotic and rhythmically entrancing remix for TonalTheory, putting his unique spin on the original track. His interpretation blends deep, rolling rhythms with intricate textures, staying true to his signature style while offering a fresh perspective, all while preserving the raw energy and drive of the original mix. With this release, Carlos has further cemented his place in the techno scene, performing across Europe, the UK, Australia, Colombia, and his native Mexico, sharing the bill with renowned artists like Cleric, Tensal, Deraout, Dimi Angelis, Kangding Ray, Lindsey Herbert, Truncate, DJ Hyperactive, and more.
