Immersed 126 (14 April 2025)

Well this will be something I may do again and again! This week's DJ Set is an OVER 3 HOUR journey from Ambient to Dub Techno to deep Progressive to Melodic Techno and even some classic 2000s Progressive House thrown in there for good measure! But not only that, I mixed with Traktor's 4 deck mode! I didn't use a controller however! Believe it or not I used mouse and keyboard lol This is in preparation for when I DO get a 4 channel controller, and I must say it was so much fun I had done it earlier in the day for 4 hours but didn't record it! This may be my new method for playing much more extended sets, and I can't wait for the day I have a 4 deck controller to try this with!

Anywho, no tracklist cause I was basically doing a live megamix/mashup-mix the whole time so while some songs are recognizable, there's bits and pieces of other songs constantly so it's pretty impossible to tracklist. I challenge anyone to take a stab at it for 1001 though!

Felipe García is a young music producer born on January 21, 1999, in Uruguay. He currently resides in Amsterdam. He spent several years studying music production in Ableton Live, trying to acquire good techniques and strengthen his sound. In 2021, he began releasing music and entering the industry, signing contracts with very strong labels such as Balkan Connection, Mango Alley, 3rd Avenue, Deep Down Music, Droid9, and many more. From then on, he began to have great support from artists such as Nick Warren, Guy Mantzur, Mariano Mellino, Hernan Cattaneo, Kamilo Sanclemente, and more. He participated with his music in various sessions with legendary artists around the world. Within the genre, his orientation is the Progressive House branch, to which he felt deeply drawn since his role models are Guy J, Sasha, and Hernan Cattaneo.

Closing track ‘Ashes’ unearths cycling figures of ethnically charged percussive grooves. Cascading chimes, cavernous synth impacts, and a morphing, soothing bass lead unfold a slow-burning roller rich in contrast—warm, spaced-out, drum-centric, and heavy in atmosphere.

Hailing from the verdant landscapes of Oregon, USA, Daniel Sampson a.k.a. Cendryma weaves the raw power of nature into the fabric of his music. Growing up in the lush Pacific Northwest, Cendryma's sound mirrors the elements, with rain samples, driving basslines, and darker tones reflecting the region's moody winters. His compositions are deeply textured, blending captivating melodies with dynamic, emotive atmospheres.
Daniel began his electronic music journey in 2007, but it wasn’t until 2017 that he publicly released his first Trance tracks under the Tecnosine alias. By 2020, he exclusively pursued Downtempo, marking his first major creative transition. His early career was shaped by trance, but as time passed, he grew constrained by its rigid structures. In 2022, he introduced the Sam Cydan moniker, debuting his first major release under the new name. That same year, the pandemic spurred his exploration of Progressive House, culminating in the birth of Cendryma in 2023, a project that truly embodies his evolving sound and creative vision.
Influenced by artists like Alex O’Rion, GMJ & Matter, and Anjunadeep’s Marsh, Cendryma has shaped his signature sound in Progressive House, steering clear of conventional boundaries. His productions flow organically, evolving over time, while his label, ‘Cydana Sounds,’ serves as an intimate platform for his musical explorations.
With tracks like "Function" and his debut EP Terraform/Wired gaining recognition, his recent release, "Pass Through," on Purrfection Records, is already making huge waves. As he looks to the future, Cendryma is set to expand his influence in the global Progressive House scene with upcoming releases on labels like Pattern and UV, continuing to refine and evolve his sound. His journey has only just begun!
