Factor Friday's "Single Series" is a new project from Factor, releasing a new single on the last Friday of each month for all of 2014. The November single features boss man of Fake Four inc, Ceschi.  This song was written and recorded months before Ceschi went to prison in September for questionable marijuana charges.  The song is inspired by "The Microphones" lyric "I could not get through September without a battle" and features Paranoid Castle (Kirby Dominant).  Ceschi and Factor have a new full length album dropping on Fake Four Inc 2015 titled "Broken Bones Ballads".

Longtime Doomtree crew member and behind-the-scenes production wizard, Cecil has spent years developing his unique and signature sound, and Dear Echo pushes the genre boundaries even further for his most modern, lush, and experimental offering yet.  Recorded in Fall Creek, WI at Justin Vernon’s renowned April Base Studios, the six-track EP includes three brand new songs alongside their accompanying instrumentals, with production, songwriting, and vocals masterfully handled by Cecil himself.  Available now for download, Dear Echo will also see a vinyl release later this year.  Standard and deluxe LP  packages are now available for pre-order from the Doomtree webstore, and include limited-edition white vinyl and an extremely rare signed-and-numbered screen-print series featuring the artwork Cecil created during the Dear Echo recording sessions.

After self-producing several of his own solo albums throughout the 2000’s, Cecil Otter rose to fame as one half of the mashup duo Wugazi, a remix project that overlapped the gritty raps of Wu-Tang Clan with the sounds of post-rock vets Fugazi. While on tour in Ontario, Canada in January 2013 I was lucky enough to have time to record a song with Baracuda originally of Guelph Ontario's "Plague Language" family of artists.  Cuda & I originally recorded our verses in London Ontario at Richard Catesh's apartment over a beat that was grabbed online which featured a (pretty heartfelt) Reggae singer doing the chorus.  I had been trying hard to get one of my rap idols NGAFSH of CVE (Goodlife/Project Blowed) on this album and after recording this song and reading some of FSH's online rants about hard work - I KNEW he would feel this one.  The only problem we had was that the beat had already been used by countless others online who had already made youtube music videos etc. Like a champion, my long time friend & bandmate Max Heath of Child Actor completely re-made the beat, I recorded a new chorus, Natalie sang some ad-libs and the Work Song was created!
