20+ years of Moontribe has meant many ups and downs, we have seen weddings there, a death, and a couple of memorials for community members who have passed on way before we wanted them too.  This was the most intense of all Moontribes for me as we celebrated the life, and came to grips with the recent death, of our sweet and loveable friend, Nico Rojas.

This 3-hour set was played between 10:20am and 1:20pm on Saturday, October 18, 2013.  Emotions ranged from light - being engaged in a marshmallow fight with friends on the dancefloor, to heavy - open grieving on the dancefloor with the music playing.  The music also reflects this play between light and more somber/thoughtful energies, one of the best I've played and certainly the most emotional.

If you can, please listen to this set in its entirety as I have tried listening to parts and it really doesn't work as well.  Try it on a long drive, cleaning the house, or when working through some issues .  

Finally, send some love to Nico, to his brother Mauricio, and mother, Lisa, and all his family and friends who miss him dearly in this world.  Both the music and the way it is mixed were meant as in memory of his life and in honor of his loving spirit.

Deep in the Mojave Desert, under the November full moon known among many names as the "Moon When All Is Gathered In", we gathered and danced for the last time in 2013 . . . and what a gathering it was! This set was played in the wee hours of the night into the sunrise, during a most epic moonset. 
Many thanks to everyone who 'gathered in' to bring this very active year of Full Moon Gatherings to a close with such a wonderful dance.

During 2013's summer solstice full moon, thousands of dancers, artists, and family gathered to celebrate 20 years of magic with Southern California's beautiful Moontribe Collective. 

We are halfway to 2014's Solstice already -- so here's a something to spark those memories and reinvigorate this year's full moon hunger.

This was an amazing 3 day event. This set was 9:15-11pm the night of the full moon before Treavor Moontribe and Brad Moontribe.

16 years ago, when I was a 14 or so and living in the NorthWest USA, I started listening to Moontribe Collective Mixtapes from the 90's and was really happy to hear other people playing vinyl similar to mine, which I didn't hear so in the underground scenes I was involved with in the NorthWest USA (Moontribe was more progressive). Moontribe's legendary vibe was an epic imaginative dream I had in my head for 13 years before I was able to go to my first Moontribe Event in 2012 to play a sunrise set at their 19 year Anniversary! This year I played the 21 year anniversary before Treavor Moontribe. The events were as epic as I imagined, reflecting a very warm vibe you'll find knowwhere else.

Over the years of playing events large and small including Moontribe, Terrakroma, Psytribe, Electric Daisy Carnival, Serenity Gathering, and Photosynthesis, he has developed a diverse musical palette ranging in various styles of techno, progressive, trance, psytrance, psytech, breakbeats, house and electronica. While having a deep love for underground club and warehouse dancefloors, Chadwick feels most at home playing outdoors under the open sky. Day or night, indoors or out, his sets will take you to a place of heart thumping, foot stomping, psychedelic bliss.

Chadwick is a resident DJ and organizing volunteer with Southern California’s Moontribe Collective, who have been gathering under the full moon in the Mojave Desert since 1993.
