It was made as I prepared for a Dark Ambient performance for Støyscene in Drammen Norway.

Monday, November 18, 2024. A slightly overcast autumn morning. The gray hues of the sky bring a sense of calm and quiet, as if the world has chosen to breathe just a little slower today. On this tranquil day, I am excited to share with you the 3,992nd piece from the Piano Manyoshu collection, titled “love surely hath been breathing here.” With this release, there are now only 544 pieces remaining to complete this journey, marking an achievement rate of 88.01%. Each day, as one piece brings me closer to the goal, I feel immense gratitude for the steady rhythm of progress.

As time goes on and with so many people have been lost in the disaster, I am forced back to my own notebooks where I jot down names and events registered by others in the course of my research. That it might go untold that there were many women scientists and students killed in the genocide as well as artists and journalist seems evident and yet there is another realm of memory open to us who hear the voice of the waters. Operation Magic Stone spoke to me and I knew that eventually there would be a poem or something like this.
