CSQ: Tell us a bit about your local techno scene. How has it shaped you as an artist?

CSMR: The hard techno scene is massive in The Netherlands, as well as in my hometown, Nijmegen, so I don’t doubt it had a significant effect on the music I create and play. I do, however, feel like the biggest influence has been my continuous search for the more extreme and underground areas of music, from genres like deathcore when I was younger to the darker, faster and more industrial hard techno and bochka nowadays.

CSQ: Would you like to share anything with the listeners about the set?

CSMR: Not necessarily; it’s just a selection of tracks I’ve been in love with for the past few months. I always strive to create some sort of story with my sets, getting increasingly more aggressive and relentless, and keeping the energy level high throughout.

CSQ: How does the set reflect the development of your style and your DJing since you started?

CSMR: Like I said, my taste in industrial techno is getting increasingly darker and faster, and I think the creation of this set is definitely testament to that. Hopefully the listeners will experience a similar development and enjoy the set I created for them.

CSQ: Tell us a bit about your local techno scene. How has it shaped you as an artist?

TEØH: Berlin's techno scene attracts DJs, producers, and any kind of artist that work in this sector from around the world, creating a melting pot of influences and styles. This international flavour contributes to the city's dynamic and constantly evolving soundscape. Also, the war in Ukraine is a crucial point for the emerging industrial\Bochka style since all the underground scene from Kiev, and not only, moved to Berlin bringing a new industrial flavour to the actual scene with lots of subcultural movements.

CSQ: Would you like to share anything with the listeners about the set?

TEØH: The track selection is made based only on my personal taste and style. I love to keep the focus on the drums with some special sounds from time to time during the set. I hope it gives to the listener the same energy that I felt while recording it.

CSQ: How does the set reflect the development of your style and your DJing since you started?

TEØH: I started more on the hard-techno style back in time, but i quickly moved into industrial cause i felt it much more "serious" in some way, the actual hard-techno for me sounds too much like a plastic-toy, but there are very talented and skilled producers in that scene!

CSQ: Tell us a bit about your local techno scene. How has it shaped you as an artist?

A2XBY: I live in The Netherlands, a small country, which has one of the biggest hard techno scenes in the world. There are multiple raves every weekend. In October 2021, I went for the first time to a rave. At first, I felt a little uneasy and overwhelmed - also because I am always sober - but in the end, I was completely impressed. I loved the boost in energy that the loud music gave me and the amazing laser light show... just wow. In February 2022, I went to Rotterdam Rave for the first time. This event really enhanced my love for techno, and I started going to raves almost every week, yes, sober. After visiting a new underground rave concept in 2022, I discovered my true music preference: industrial techno. It was from that point that I started to realise what aspects of techno I liked and didn’t like, and that sparked my creativity to create my own style. It all started in the beginning of 2023. I released a few tracks, and they were very well received. It was indescribable to hear my songs in real life at raves. Towards the end of 2023, I received unexpectedly a big booking, so that is what started me working as a producer and DJ.

CSQ: Would you like to share anything with the listeners about the set?

A2XBY: This is the first podcast where I’ve tried to keep the energy up the whole time. I do this by having as few breaks as possible and layering many kicks on top of each other.
I try to create a storyline - just like my productions. During the set, the music becomes more and more intense and dark. I’m starting with Bochka and working towards industrial techno. I only use tracks that fit my style and of course there are also some songs of my own.

CSQ: How does the set reflect the development of your style and your DJing since you started?

A2XBY: When I started to DJ my style was non-existent, it was mostly drop, break, drop, break. But after a few months of hard practice, I discovered what my style is: I start at Bochka and gradually work towards the hardest side of Industrial Techno. 
Nowadays, I am focused on making my podcasts feel like stories with constant high energy, and I fill them with the hardest tracks of the industrial scene.

RYGO is an up-and-coming Hungarian DJ who is mainly active in Bochka and Industrial techno genres. His musical style is characterized by hard, mechanical rhythms, powerful basses and distorted sounds at around 170-180 Bpm. During his performances, he creates a dark, intense atmosphere that attracts fans of industrial techno. RYGO performs several times in local techno clubs and is currently working on a new podcast series.
